There’s a new way to anonymously trade Monero for Bitcoin!

Cryptmixer doesn’t collect personal information or transaction records, meaning that Bitcoin swaps stay private.

In brief

It’s now easy to trade Monero to Bitcoin in a completely anonymous fashion.
Cryptmixer is a way of transferring cryptocurrencies on a separate blockchain — one that is much harder to observe. The company has announced it has added the privacy-first cryptocurrency, Monero to its privacy-centered decentralized exchange.
Customers can trade Monero with a few other assets, including Bitcoin, ETH, BCH, LTC, and XRP.
In theory, Cryptmixer thus makes crypto private again, skirting around recent regulation designed to identify senders and recipients of crypto transactions. For instance, the Fifth Anti Money Laundering Directive, which was implemented earlier this year, and the Financial Action Task Force’s “Travel Rule”, which was implemented in mid-2019, both require crypto exchanges to collect more information about their customers.
Users on Cryptmixer don’t have to submit personal information to participate (that means none of the KYC, or Know-Your-Customer checks, that centralized exchanges require), and the exchange doesn’t keep records of addresses, or transaction amounts when choosing to do so.

But there's a catch

The only way privacy can be fully realized is if there’s no black hole like Cryptmixer to enter and exit, which only draws attention to the user. If you have a trace in the BTC ledger, you are no longer private. Instead you should make all the transactions equally and uniformly private by only transacting within the Monero network.
The LocalMonero co-founder also said that it’s not inconceivable that BTC addresses that are linked to Cryptmixer will automatically get blacklisted (Binance, for instance, blocked withdrawals to the privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet, Wasabi). This would make any Bitcoin coming out of Cryptmixer “worth less than ‘clean’ bitcoins.”
The service isn’t illegal, and wallets have “Read Only” keys that can be submitted to, say, tax authorities. In any case, what’s important is that it gives people more freedom, and does not go against any laws.

Cryptocurrency Staking As It Stands Today

Cryptocurrency Staking As It Stands Today
Everyone and his grandma know what cryptocurrency mining is. Well, they may not indeed know what it actually is, in technical terms, but they have definitely heard the phrase as it is hard to miss the news about mining sucking in energy like a black hole gobbles up matter. On the other hand, staking, its little bro, has mostly been hiding in the shadows until recently.
by StealthEX
Today, with DeFi making breaking news across the cryptoverse, staking has become a new buzzword in the blockchain space and beyond, along with the fresh entries to the crypto asset investor’s vocabulary such as “yield farming”, “rug pull”, “total value locked”, and similar arcane stuff. If you are not scared off yet, then read on. Though we can’t promise you won’t be.

Cryptocurrency staking, little brother of crypto mining

There are two conceptually different approaches to achieving consensus in a distributed network, which comes down to transaction validation in the case of a cryptocurrency blockchain. You are most certainly aware of cryptocurrency mining, which is used with cryptocurrencies based on the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus algorithm such as Bitcoin and Ether (so far). Here miners compete against each other with their computational resources for finding the next block on the blockchain and getting a reward.
Another approach, known as the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, is based not on the race among computational resources as is the case with PoW, but on the competition of balances, or stakes. In simple words, every holder of at least one stake, a minimally sufficient amount of crypto, can actively participate in creating blocks and thus also earn rewards under such network consensus model. This process came to be known as staking, and it can be loosely thought of as mining in the PoS environment.
With that established, let’s now see why, after so many years of what comes pretty close to oblivion, it has turned into such a big thing.

Why has staking become so popular, all of a sudden?

The renewed popularity of staking came with the explosive expansion of decentralized finance, or DeFi for short. Essentially, staking is one of the ways to tap into the booming DeFi market, allowing users to earn staking rewards on a class of digital assets that DeFi provides easy access to. Technically, it is more correct to speak of DeFi staking as a new development of an old concept that enjoys its second coming today, or new birth if you please. So what’s the point?
With old-school cryptocurrency staking, you would have to manually set up and run a validating node on a cryptocurrency network that uses a PoS consensus algo, having to keep in mind all the gory details of a specific protocol so as not to shoot yourself in the foot. This is where you should have already started to enjoy jitters if you were to take this avenu entirely on your own. Just think of it as having to run a Bitcoin mining rig for some pocket money. Put simply, DeFi staking frees you from all that hassle.
At this point, let’s recall what decentralized finance is and what it strives to achieve. In broad terms, DeFi aims at offering the same products and services available today in the traditional financial world, but in a trutless and decentralized way. From this perspective, DeFi staking reseblems conventional banking where people put their money in savings accounts to earn interest. Indeed, you could try to lend out your shekels all by yourself, with varying degrees of success, but banks make it far more convenient and secure.
The maturation of the DeFi space advanced the emergence of staking pools and Staking-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers that run nodes for PoS cryptocurrencies on your behalf, allowing you to stake your coins and receive staking rewards. In today’s world, interest rates on traditional savings accounts are ridiculous, while government spending, a handy euphemism for relentless money printing aka fiscal stimulus, is already translating into runaway inflation. Against this backdrop, it is easy to see why staking has been on the rise.

Okay, what are my investment options?

Now that we have gone through the basics of the state-of-the-art cryptocurrency staking, you may ask what are the options actually available for a common crypto enthusiast to earn from it? Many high-caliber exchanges like Binance or Bitfinex as well as online wallets such as Coinbase offer staking of PoS coins. In most cases, you don’t even need to do anything aside from simply holding your coins there to start receiving rewards as long as you are eligible and meet the requirements. This is called exchange staking.
Further, there are platforms that specialize in staking digital assets. These are known as Staking-as-a-Service providers, while this form of staking is often referred to as soft staking. They enable even non-tech savvy customers to stake their PoS assets through a third party service, with all the technical stuff handled by the service provider. Most of these services are custodial, with the implication being that you no longer control your coins after you stake them. Figment Networks, MyContainer, Stake Capital are easily the most recognized among SaaS providers.
However, while exchange staking and soft staking have everything to do with finance, they have little to nothing to do with the decentralized part of it, which is, for the record, the primary value proposition of the entire DeFi ecosystem. The point is, you have to deposit the stakable coins into your wallet with these services. And how can it then be considered decentralized? Nah, because DeFi is all about going trustless, no third parties, and, in a narrow sense, no staking that entails the transfer of private keys. This form of staking is called non-custodial, and it is of particular interest from the DeFi point of view.
If you read our article about DeFi, you already know how it is possible, so we won’t dwell on this (if, on the off chance, you didn’t, it’s time to catch up). As DeFi continues to evolve, platforms that allow trustless staking with which you maintain full custody of your coins are set to emerge as well. The space is relatively new, with Staked being probably the first in the field. This type of staking allows you to remain in complete control of your funds, and it perfectly matches DeFi’s ethos, goals and ideals.
Still, our story wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t mention utility tokens where staking may serve a whole range of purposes other than supporting the token network or obtaining passive income. For example, with platforms that deploy blockchain oracles such as Nexus Mutual, a decentralized insurance platform, staking tokens is necessary for encouraging correct reporting on certain events or reaching a consensus on a specific claim. In the case of Nexus Mutual, its membership token NXM is used by the token holders, the so-called assessors, for validating insurance claims. If they fail to assess claims correctly, their stakes are burned.
Another example is Particl Marketplace, a decentralized eCommerce platform, which designed a standalone cryptocurrency dubbed PART. It can be used both as a cryptocurrency in its own right outside the marketplace and as a stakable utility token giving stakers voting rights facilitating the decentralized governance of the entire platform. Yet another example is the instant non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange service, ChangeNOW, that also recently came up with its stakable token, NOW Token, to be used as an internal currency and a means of earning passive income.

What’s next?

Nowadays, with most economies on pause or going downhill, staking has become a new avenue for generating passive income outside the traditional financial system. As DeFi continues to eat away at services previously being exclusively provided by conventional financial and banking sectors, we should expect more people to get involved in this activity along with more businesses dipping their toes into these uncharted waters.
Achieving network consensus, establishing decentralized governance, and earning passive income are only three use cases for cryptocurrency staking. No matter how important they are, and they certainly are, there are many other uses along different dimensions that staking can be quite helpful and instrumental for. Again, we are mostly in uncharted waters here, and we can’t reliably say what the future holds for us. On the other hand, we can go and invent it. This should count as next.

What I currently use for privacy

So this is what software I currently use for privacy, would like some opinions if possible:
Starting with my cellphone, my device is a Google Pixel 3A XL with GrapheneOS flashed, I have the following apps installed:
F-Droid and AuroraOSS (as my app stores), NewPipe (youtube client), Vanadium (web browser), Tutanota and K-9 Mail (for e-mails), OsmAnd+ (for maps), Joplin (notes), Open Camera (camera), OpenBoard and Mozc for Android (Keyboard and Japanese Keyboard), Aegis Authenticator, KeePassDX (password manager), LibreTorrent (torrent client), Librera PRO (pdf/epub/mobi reader, I don't own a Kindle nor want to own one so I use my cellphone to read), Tachiyomi (manga reader), Signal (for messaging), Vinyl Music Player, VLC, Simple Gallery Pro and Simple Calendar Pro (I prefer them over stock Graphene options) and I also use Electrum and Samourai (Bitcoin Wallet) and Monerujo (Monero Wallet)
I also have OpenVPN (for VPN) and use a private DNS for ad and tracking blocking (provided by my VPN provider)
I have 3-4 PCs, will go over every single one of them:
my main PC is a desktop PC (that I built myself) that I mainly use for working and other tasks.
It runs Artix Linux (basically Arch Linux without systemd), I use UFW as my firewall (denying all incoming and also denying all outgoing only allowing what is useful) and I also use AppArmor Profiles, I disabled IPV6 and SWAP, configured my VPN connection as well on network settings and I currently run OpenVPN on my computer (my VPN provider allows for multi-hop cascade through OpenVPN in which I can create a custom VPN cascade up to four servers, each consecutive hop re-encrypts my traffic and assigns me a new IP address) and I've also set disk encryption on installation (have set in all of my computers)
As for software: I use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser (I set it to always be in private mode, unchecked suggestions for browsing history, bookmarks, and open tabs, I've also disabled the Firefox data collection in settings and block dangerous and deceptive content, I use DuckDuckGo as my search engine, I use Firefox Home as my default as my homepage. The rest of my tweaks were done in about:config (using privacytools.io site tweaks + geo.enabled = false, network.cookie.lifetimePolicy = 2 and dom.security.https_only_mode as true which are not listed on the site) and the only addons I use are uBlock Origin on Hard Mode and Decentraleyes), KeePassXC (password manager), VIM (use it as a Text Editor and as an IDE for coding), LibreOffice (for working stuff), GIMP (image editor), VLC, qBitTorrent and Tutanota's Desktop Client and Thunderbird (for e-mails)
I also use KVM/QEMU for virtual machines (usually in case I wanna test some distro or use Tails/Whonix)
For my gaming PC (also a desktop I've built myself) I run Manjaro KDE on it, the only apps I have in the system are Firefox (same settings as above), OBS and KVM/QEMU (which I use a Win10 virtual machine for games, there are tutorials on YouTube on how to do so if you're interested). I have the same firewall settings as above, using AppArmor as well and I've also disabled IPV6 and SWAP, I run OpenVPN on it as well as my VPN DNS settings on network settings. I also use different mouse and keyboard on both my PCs and never mix them together.
My other 2 PCs are both laptops, one is a Acer Aspire Nitro I've bought for work (in case I need to work while in a trip or if I wanna work outside etc), it has the same settings and programs as my main PC but I run Gentoo on it. The other laptop is an old ThinkPad that runs Slackware on it, but I rarely use it and this laptop is most of the times not with me for safety reasons.
For some other devices and stuff: I have an Asus RT-AC86U router with OpenWRT flashed on it that I also run OpenVPN config files (this one coming from another provider, I use two VPN providers, on in my PCs and the other in my router), I have a Ledger Nano S as a hardware wallet for both Bitcoin and Monero (most of my cryptocurrency is there, I use hardware wallet for hodling purposes and as my emergency funding) and I have LOTS of USB flash drivers (all of them for Linux Live ISOs purposes), I also have a Nintendo Switch Lite (only gaming console I have, although have not been playing that much on it recently) that I only connect to the internet in case I need to download some updates or play online and after I'm done I immediately disconnect it from the internet.
Some other privacy habits I have are:
I don't own any smart device like Smart TVs (I've been more than 10 years now without watching TV, doesn't even bother me), Smart Fridges or Dishwashers that connect to your internet, ROOMBAS, Smart Home etc, I keep all my money on crypto (and I have a small amount in gold as well, but I rarely invest on it, all my gold is stored in a manual safe here in my apartment) and I only have like, 10 bucks or so in my back account (as soon as I receive any money I just left the necessary in my account to pay bills and put all the rest on crypto, I try to pay everything on crypto or cash), I RARELY use cloud storage, but if I need to, I go with NextCloud and encrypt all my files with VeraCrypt before uploading it, all my VPN services were paid with Bitcoin (I try to pay everything with crypto as previously said) and I never write directly into any website, I usually write my text on a text editor, copy it and paste it on the website (needless to say that I don't use mainstream social media as well)
So, what do you guys think? anything that you would add your recommend me? (before anyone mentions about self-hosting a DNS server using Pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi, I'm actually thinking on doing it in a near future)
EDIT: forgot to mention that I don't watch YouTube on PC on youtube site, I mostly watch youtube's videos on invidio.us and only use the youtube site for watching live streams honestly. And I also barely go outside with my smartphone (only if I really need to) and I usually keep it away from my computers etc.
EDIT 2: also another thing: I covered all my laptop's webcams with black electrical tape, I have a Logitech C922 Pro webcam for my desktop PCs but rarely use it, and when I need to use it, I unplug it as soon as I'm done with it.

The Great Web of Slime

There is a web of invisible slime that reaches out from the artificial traditions of psychological think tanks, like The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, whose roots trace back to the Vienna Psychology Club; a web that stretches across the entire world and inserts itself into your lives in intrusive, unethical and corrupt ways. Groups are deceiving you for a dollar, for a vote, for your personal information, for your labor; for your body and soul. This deception is carried out using every screen you look at, every song offered to you, every sign on a billboard, every popular book, magazine and newspaper.
If you want honest information; if you want to see past the slime, you are going to have to look hard for it. If you are just starting down your journey of being cognizant of the deception, the scope is difficult to believe but well borne out by the evidence. We all know the news is dishonest, but the common myth is that it is for the ratings and for the views. The ways in which the news is dishonest is what is really difficult for people to swallow and the “why” still very much in debate until you understand the framework by which they operate.
Systemic corruption is no exception to the march of modernization; more sophisticated than ever and more capable of staying hidden to the average person. Modern day slavers control the narrative and the reason it is a spiritual conflict between good and evil is because there are a very small group of people who believe that stealing your agency/free will/consciousness lends itself to their ability to become gods, in their own right.
Understanding that the elite have deep occult traditions is important, though often scoffed at. However, to advertise their power and influence, occult messages are constantly and publicly advertised back and forth between these groups. It is no theory that think tanks have studied and implemented cult behavior even going so far as to create artificial cults in which to entrap people.
Faceless, emotionless, unempathetic organizations that are merely constructed of words on paper are able to impose these cult tactics on you with impunity and in secrecy. This is the heart of the problem; when it comes to an organization, company, agency, church, etc., these abstract constructs are very much not human, at all. Their existence is alien and unknown to human instincts, who assign human attributes naturally and without conscious thought. These constructs take advantage of normal, honest, empathetic individuals by mimicking empathy, not by actually being empathetic.
There are more slaves, now, than ever in human history and the methods of enslaving are far more insidious than ever. Modern slavery networks and the corrupt political ecosystems that allow them to endure are the heart of mankind’s problems. If we, as a society, were able to address the corruption that keeps these networks alive, then we, as society, would solve a lot of problems surrounding organized crime, in general, not just the problem human trafficking.
How do we do that? It is very simple; “Zero Trust” policies in organizations and 100% government transparency. That’s it. A great deal of time, effort and money are spent making sure these issues never hit the ballot box and are never part of the platform of a candidate you are given the option to vote for. The movies you watch are constantly reminding you of dangers that allow a select group of idiots to maintain secrecy that is undeserved and clearly wielded for uses other than helping society.
Common sense solutions are not prioritized by the media and politicians. Don’t be a part of the destruction of common sense and common courtesy. Stop taking the bait. Stop taking the path of least resistance. We are all guilty, but pushing yourself to be better and do better has a ripple effect in the world around you. Being a terrible person also has a ripple effect. There are enough bad ripples.
The concept of an “epiphany” is an important one; where a person’s mind changes on a physical, neurochemical level to the extent that their world view changes. The moment a person is “red pilled” is an epiphany and it is very much the concern of media and Internet shills and their manipulative overlords because they do not want people to have the realization that the system is corrupt from top to bottom and that both sides of most narratives. But, if you do have that realization, there is a plan for you; to do nothing and sit idly by as corrupt forces continue their work. When you have an epiphany, the neurochemical storm actually is a moment where you are most suggestible and most ready to be manipulated.
If you manage to raise your level of awareness across multiple narratives, the system almost doesn’t need to care about you, anymore, as they have likely already moved you to inaction and made you unwilling to tell others the truth.
While there is a great deal of science that goes behind manipulating people, the tradition is as old as human history, itself; it’s origins, magical from the perspective of the ancients. Whether you call mass manipulation “hypnosis,” “psychology,” “magic” or “science,” the fact of the matter is that it is there in a more constant form than ever, impossible to avoid, and invisible to those who aren’t paying attention or willing to research and think for themselves.
Like the idea of dark matter, you cannot see it directly (at least, when done well), but should be able to test and compare data data in different circumstances to detect it. There are many confirmed real world examples of mass manipulation that people should be aware of, because it is very easy for people to believe that it is not happening to them.
Many say that is too big of a conspiracy to keep secret; though we already see how it works with a variety of leaks, court cases and plenty of proven real world examples. If you encounter this argument, you have probably encountered someone who is hypnotized into misunderstanding the word “conspiracy”, where a group of people work together to commit crimes.
One easy way to create a consensus across media organizations is to enter into “non disparagement agreements.” For example, HBO entered into a non-disparagement agreement with Michael Jackson’s attorneys. A recent court case established that the agreement remains in effect even after his death. This means, with the right law firm, someone can enter into many unknown non disparagement agreements with many companies.
It sounds weird, but this is like black magic. Occult literally means hidden. Secret words have been spelled out that the public is not aware of, but creates the illusion that there is a consensus about any given personality; like say a politician, a singer or an actor. A web of mutual non-disparagement agreements works as a form of forensic interruption, preventing people being held accountable for crimes.
Between non-disclosure agreements and non-disparagement agreements, there is a web of protected relationships where people, products and even governments are not allowed to be discussed in a negative light.
This has created an extortion racket by the media. If you don’t buy in, then you are fair game. Not only are you fair game, they will harass you until you buy in because they literally need something to do due to their lack of ability to speak negatively about their cohorts.
When you consider the nexus between government and media, the problem is compounded when you introduce the concept of keeping things secret for national security. Policy has created the circumstance that corporate and secret government interests are intertwined and they become aligned in keeping each other out of jail.
While a lot of this is managed at upper echelons, the system is merely taking advantage of human nature, which is why the government and media should be operating from a “zero trust” standpoint and not the other way around, like it currently is. There is and never has been any reason to trust the media or the government, and doubly so when their interests are aligned. There are many proven real world examples.
The first ingredient to modern mass hypnosis is saturation and repetition. Your first clue that the message is artificial is when many corporate, government and astroturfing battlegrounds all agree on the same thing.
Not only is a contrived message oft-repeated, it is generally very polarized; where, due to cognitive bias, it is designed for consumption by both sides with the ideal result of making one side feel schadenfreude and the other side feel outrage and injustice. Just being aware of this polarization tactic and allowing yourself to have more nuanced opinions that the black or white ones offered up to you, is incredibly effective at not taking the bait.
“Systems Psychodynamics” is the name of the psychological framework that is used to monitor and control people, primarily based on attacking and reforming “basic assumptions.” By controlling everyone’s basic assumptions using the repetitious push and pulling narratives, the levers of political and monetary behavior are controlled through “influencers.” This framework reads like it was written for social media, though, in reality, it is much older; social media merely enhances the effects.
One easy way to detect the agenda and the widespreadness of the corruption, without even knowing the finer points of mass persuasion techniques, is to see what is censored. Generally, the astroturfing campaigns seek to drown out good information that is contrary to their cause. However, when you find some information that is very damaging to their narrative, especially before they’ve scripted a response, it gets removed. Eventually, they will write up a standard response, but this takes time.
For this reason, I incubate a number of censorship experiments across multiple sites. While people easily get away with discussions about aliens and flat earth, conversations about modern slavery are shut down everywhere; particularly if you call people to action in reporting crimes. Sites that purport to be “free speech” will not allow you to openly hunt human traffickers and the “system” seems to hate vigilantes more than anything.
Most recently, the censorship around Covid “truth” is heaviest. Censorship of doctors has been swift and totalitarian. However, because I see generally what gets censored, first, I knew this was all a scam from Day One. The first SARS COV 2 tests, up until March, were merely SARS COV tests. Very literally. The SARS COV 2 tests hadn’t been invented, yet. Explaining that the body produces the CR3022 protein (what the antibody tests look for) for all human affecting coronaviruses was heavily censored. Even now, explaining this basic fact that exposes why a great deal of testing is fraudulent, is struck from both Right and Left astroturfing machines. If you really want a rabbit hole to dig through, search the coronavirus pandemic bonds that matured March 23, 2020.
Prior to that, the name “Eric Ciaramella” was one of the most censored things on the Internet. Censored, in that the information was deleted immediately. The motivations behind these multi-site censorship campaigns should have everyone concerned because it is consistently in support of Democrat and RINO narratives, politically, and always in favor of human traffickers.
However, even the Q Anon group will censor you with a variety of tactics if you speak of certain things in the wrong way or mention the possibility that they, themselves, are part of an astroturfing outfit. Fox News still won’t give a fair shake to the Uranium One/Skolkovo/Troika Laundromat evidence and it betrays them as controlled opposition/ a limited hangout, since it would destroy the Democrats.
Any “side” of politics you can be on, whether it’s fringe or mainstream or Right or Left, every group has limits to what truthful statements they will tolerate and the nexus where all the groups meet in alignment is when it comes to discussing modern day slavery and who is profiting from it.
Simply removing content is very overt and complaining about it to those who do it will usually earn you a mute or a ban. Running a “brand” across multiple platforms requires conformity to social media company ideologies, or you will be subjected to any and all means of censorship.
Covert means of censorship are also rampant. Upvotes.Club offers a service that not only promotes the content you want, but downvotes topics that run contrary to your marketing strategy. This is one of many astroturfing services. Shadow banning is another tactic that can be difficult to detect. “Deboosting” is common in social platforms, as well, where the number or type of viewers who see your content is limited. This breeds “echo chambers” across multiple Internet communities.
Out of frustration and curiosity, I began experimenting with different ways to engage with the shill communities. Very often, their own tactics work quite well against them. Years into this push and pull with these groups, my best strategy has evolved to monitor them as they often telegraph economic opportunity and subvert them from behind a layer of complexity a shill script can’t understand and is unable to deal with. When I noticed Bitcoin was being heavily shilled, I saw a signal to buy early. This was the catalyst for rethinking everything I was doing.
When I noticed that there was blatant fraud in the media about SARS COV 2, I noticed the exact same behavior I had seen before when I struck it rich with Bitcoin. I even went to my audience and said on a podcast, “the market will be back to normal levels in a month… six tops.” I bought the dip, knowing the numbers were fully overblown. My $TSLA experience has been quite enriching.
Every day, in the stock trading communities, shills are looking to pump and dump stocks and groups are spending money to illegally manipulate the stock market. However, you can use different ways to monitor social media to detect potential pumps and dumps. If you start seeing the same thing show up on different platforms, among different known shill groups, you know someone has paid for a pump and dump. So long as you have a set, small percentage to gain, you can avoid the pitfalls and get out early.
Right now, that is my “edge”, in trading. I don’t feel nearly as obligated to spread the truth to others, since I’ve realigned my priorities. These technological tools for being the first to news items, to new evidence, finding new ways of searching existing information; not only does it help you navigate past censorship, you can use it to make more “realistic” decisions about the world around you.
Politics and the stock market are inextricably linked. To be informed on one, is to be informed on the other. When you begin to pull in more intersecting information, like “systems psychodynamics” and overall agendas of differing groups, you are expanding your knowledge and your consciousness so that your intellect has more of a real world impact.
When you delve deep into ancient traditions, you will, eventually, learn of alchemy; usually the pursuit of endless wealth or the search for immortality. Day trading well is, essentially, modern day alchemy in that you are making money from thin air. Musicians transform what is in their mind into a product that can be sold. There are many forms of alchemy. Bitcoin is another great example of modern day alchemy. In my humble opinion, augmenting your own well-disciplined intellect with good computing practices can make you a modern day wizard; an alchemist.
Many people were saturated with pro-Nihilism marketing and ate it up with their Cheerio's while listening to Nirvana CDs. A couple of generations of nihilists later, combined with portable dopamine trap screens from waking moment 'til slumber, and people are literally having a hard time finding a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
Being a successful trader heals a lot of the damage from that consumerist propaganda and forces people to interact with the natural causes of their decision making.
The Market is not racist. The only color you have to worry about is green. The market does not celebrate your success or mock your failures. The opinions of critics do not count.
The Market does not care about your feelings or anyone else's.
All people enter the Market equal and there are no participation awards. There is no busywork. Your test scores do not matter. All that matters are results and that type of black and white simplicity makes the Market the most sane aspect of society, right now.
Though most of the obvious stocks have since reached preCovid normality, it has been easy to make money by sorting every ticker by Feb 20 high, then subtract the current price, calculate potential gain when they return to their old price and pick ones that had a high probability of doubling or tripling your money the fastest.
I understand it seems tangential, the stock market angle, but when you are routinely called a “conspiracy theorist”, it helps to be as realistic as possible and there is no better way to prove your theories than by putting your money where your mouth is.
The stock market is a vessel from which normal people (”retail investors”) are scammed constantly, for the benefit of institutional investors. The Epsteins, the Soros’, all the political elite; they are playing in this realm and they graduated to using AI and machine learning to augment their schemes years ago. In order to understand the elite, you have to understand their playground.
In order to compete in the information age, you need to augment your intellect using technology. If nothing else, use it to be meticulously organized. If you get organized in only one aspect of your life, make it your finances.
The Democratic party uses the ADA AI, named from Ada Lovelace and a competitor, in 2016, Cambridge Analytica, was used by the Republicans. These AI’s are augmented with databases and metadatabases of everything that can be served up by a social media APIs. They know everything about you and they don’t spy on your microphones, cameras and screenshots to catch you at crimes; they are spying on you in order to better teach you how to vote and spend money.
Combined with an army of astroturfing accounts, these AIs are quite good at manipulating what shows up on your screen. This type of censorship is bad for stock traders, researchers and people who just want a few honest answers.
In order to compete a bit better, I have taken to making by own custom feeds and scrapers, so that I can database text of many sites and subjects, which then is far easier to search, but is also able to sort information so that I can find what I am looking for in a few minutes, as opposed to trawling the same channels or search engines everyday and learning relatively little. I am really on the hunt for stuff that is voted up or noticed organically and is in that stage before it catches on by a shill group. I incorporate a lot of OSINT tools and I like to collect leaked databases to be able to compare information. It is very helpful to use machine learning to detect what I need as quickly as possible and serve it up to me, first.
Applying my own knowledge of how the astroturfing system works, I have developed strategies to target influencers with new and original information and I can quickly and easily get it to them without influencers even knowing I am the source of the information. I just have to identify the correct group to get my message out, then make sure their leaders see the information, who will naturally post it on their own and their followers will naturally vote information up for free. I don’t do this with stocks (questionable legality), but I do feed good news to the right people and I exert a lot less effort to get ideas across all platforms than I used to.
No astroturfing groups are into anti-consumerist ideas. “Hydro Homies” and “No Fap” are two great examples that recommend people be anti-consumerist and avoid specific products. As a result, these movements, despite being healthy and productive, have a lot of trouble gaining traction. There is no mainstream push for a truly healthy agenda. All contrived movements must pay to astroturf and shill because, otherwise, embracing their products and ideas is contrary to your well being. No shill group is working to save you money or trying to convince you to make the right decision, for yourself.
There are certain messages almost no one will add social media velocity to; detailed instructions on how to report crimes or catch pedophiles, leaked information that hurts both sides of the political spectrum, anything a little too technical or complex.
There are already efforts to make hijack the anti-human trafficking crowd. They will be tricked into meaningless pursuits that have no real world consequence. Money will be raised and wasted. News article after news article will be pumped out detailing how everyone is supporting victims and raising awareness. Meanwhile; nobody of consequence is arrested. The mining industry will continue to use forced labor and the networks they use will also feed the sex slavery and domestic servitude and the systemic policies and corrupt politicians will continue on unimpeded.
Let’s hope that changes, but it will require a lot more people getting off their asses and getting involved. It will require a lot more people speaking up outside of their echo chambers.
Ready. Set. Go.

Translation of miner tax update from Jiang Zhuoer

It's very simple, each project developed by BCH requires funds, and the donations from the BCH companies are not enough which may cause the slow development of BCH. For example, the ABC mainly relies on donations from a few companies, and these companies wish that the BCH projects could be sustainable and they intend to gradually reduce the funding.
Translation: "I want to give money to ABC but I don't want my competitor miners to get ahead. I will force them to donate as well." This is a perverse mining monopoly at it's worst. He doesn't want to lose his #1 mining spot, so he's forcing a tax on smaller miners. This isn't really about ABC's ability to get donations, it's about Jiang Zhuoer's business interests. That's NOT a reason to modify the protocol of a decentralized peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
"No debate" does not mean : "I refuse to discuss with you" or "I do not accept your opinion", but rather "let us stop debating and give it a try, if the test turns out positive, we continue, otherwise we stop".
This is a change to the protocol and introduces corrupt financial incentives that are against the ideas put forth in the whitepaper. You don't "just try it out" when you would need a 51% attack to force the change through.
Further, other miners are against having their reward orphaned if they decide not to donate the reward of their work. If it's not opt-in, it's not a donation. To donate is to give willingly. This is forced. That's why it's a tax.
Before the [tax] plan kicks off, the BCH Miner Fund will be established and be ready to accept the [taxes] from miners, as well as from other non-miner individuals and corporations. The Foundation (corrupt centralized entity) will run for a pilot period to show the effect to the community.
This shows that Jiang Zhuoer still plans to have a centralized entity to distribute funds. This must be prevented at all costs. Bitcoin Cash will be completely ruined if control over the protocol is consolidated under Jiang.
I wish a 3-month miners vote could be conducted and completed (miners can use bmp.virtualpool.com to vote), if 2/3 of the hashpower votes are in favor of the [miner tax] plan, then I hope that developers can include the [miner tax] plan (sending to project or sending to BCH Black Hole address) as part of the protocal upgrade in May 2020
This is essentially saying, "Use our centralized server to vote. If our own hashrate votes for this we will make it look like the decentralized miners voted for it. ABC is writing this code for us and you can't stop it."
At present, there are a lot of anonymous BCH miners whose hashpower sometimes account for half of the total network, however most of these anonymous miners actually come form the Poolin (Poolin.com), they mine BCH only when its profit is higher. Therefore, as long as we mine at a loss and control the BCH mining profit slightly lower than BTC mining profit, those anonymous miners who thinks of nothing but making money will not mine BCH.
That's right. He's saying that he wants mining profitability to be less for BCH relative to BTC to ensure that his own centralized hashrate wins the fake vote.
I personally hold 3500 P hashpower, and I can also influence almost 10,000P hashpower, so that the total hashpower amount will be sufficient. ... As a result, I will allocate my personal hashpower to a new mining pool (D.TOP), please do not suprise when you see this new mining pool appears and accounts for a higher percentage : )
This is like saying, "Hey guys this isn't actually a vote because I own your network. Fuck you and here's how I'm going to do it." Jiang Zhuoer clearly does not understand decentralization and the reason for it.
A decentralized community, cannot rely on centralized companies' donation for a long time, the Blockstream and Core are the best counter-example.
Jiang Zhuoer just made the argument against making these changes by himself, against the will of the community. The only loud supporters of this are 1) ABC developers because they will profit 2) trolls who want to harm BCH. Most active real users opposed or waiting to see the full proposal. We've seen it and it will do incredible long-term harm to Bitcoin Cash.
I am glad to see that everbody makes comments on the donation plan
"Thanks for your comments but I'm going to completely ignore them."

Buying 1P-LSD Online

I am new to the world of psychedelics and narcotics. That’s why when I learned about the potential spiritual benefits of psychedelics, I was at a loss where to turn. None in my inner circle were resourceful enough to help. And my profession is filled with such pretentious assholes that you’d think they were the only group on the planet who hold the keys to enlightenment.
So, I was all on my own seeking enlightenment in blotting paper. When I found a website on the clearnet promoting sale of lsd blotters, I threw all caution to the winds. Prices were attractive and they appeared to accept all the major credit cards including PayPal so I thought, why not? I added two 100x, 100mcg tabs for about $54 each to my shopping cart. Holy shit!! What a bargain, I thought.
At the checkout, I was surprisingly presented with only two payment options: Bitcoin, and WesternUnion. What happened to visa and PayPal? Were they just teasers? Well, Bitcoin was out, too risky for us boomers. WesternUnion seems more doable. Now, I needed a name and address for where to send the money to. I sent an email request. I got an instant response.
This is going great, I thought. I was literally salivating at microdosing LSD to jumpstart my spiritual quest! The name and address that came back gave me a sinking feeling in my stomach. “Send the money to Yaunde, Cameroon.”
No way am l going to send my money into some black hole in Africa called Cameroon. They may be known for Ibogaine but LSD, I don’t think so. I wired back my reservations.
Back came the reply with the right assurances. “Don’t worry, your purchase actually ships from Maryland. We use a foreign address for security reasons.” Okay, sounds reasonable. I’d do the same if I was doing illegal shit, too. Covering your tracks makes sense. I wired back to make sure they understand they are going to receive some foreign currency called XAF, not dollars.
Then came back another reply: “just make sure to send the round sum of $130 to cover taxes”. My antenna suddenly went into overdrive. I fired back. Wait a minute, is this sales or income tax, what tax jurisdiction is this, what happened to the commerce clause, etc, etc. why would you collect tax on an illegal transaction? The response that came back was not an explanation nor answers to my questions, just a capitulation. “Just go ahead and send the $126 since it is your first purchase from us.“
At this point, my anticipation for the magic elixir had completely dissipated to be replaced by a nagging sense of betrayal. I finally concluded that I may be looking at a sophisticated scam operation behind a glossy, well designed web presence. I was no longer in the mood to complete the transaction even if it turned out to be a perfectly legitimate operation. To successfully defang senseless regulatory oversight, there should at least be some “honor among thieves”.
I don’t know if this website is a scam. But I think people should be cautious about sending money to foreign destinations. Once the money is picked up, it cannot be traced. It’s a jungle in Africa. I know because I was born there!

Confession: My Suicide Kit.

Details have been changed to protect the guilty.
(I post poetry which is too dark and suicidal for my main account on this account)
20m. CA.

I'm telling this story now because this is all past tense.

Not my suicidal ideation, but the drugs I carried daily which I planned on using to end my life.

I suffer from a back injury/neurological bullshit, mental illness for sure, and was abused.

My family are fucking nuts. I got the fuck away from them after years of violence.

I was homeless for a period following this.

Hopping shelters, social services, and the constant pain nearly drove me insane.

I didn't sell drugs. I didn't use drugs.

I.

I eventually got the hang of it, fulfilling the requirements to get shelter and public assistance.

I am a producer and make trap music, so throughout this whole experience I had what was effectively a duffel bag filled with music gear. Headphones, microphones, keyboards, etc.

Eventually I got myself a PO box, which was tricky because I didn't have proper ID for a long time and it took a while to get it sorted. The very first thing I did was place my first order ever on those dark hidden places on the internet which I'm sure you're all aware of. The order was not placed by me personally, however.

I have always been very curious and knew every bit of what was required to do this, but prior to this had never ever ordered a single thing from them.

I didn't have any money, obviously, but I did have a lot of support online. Mostly through my music. I knew this guy Dave from Saskatoon for about 4 years through Reddit. He provided me with the Bitcoin, and paid for my PO box, and placed the order for me.

I didn't even have a computer, so I was talking to him from a public library and hoping to hell I wasn't going to get fucked by the law for doing it in such a clear and traceable manner.

He knew me very, very well. He was planning on doing the same thing as me, but our agreement was that I did it first. He said it was something like a way of making sure he wasn't going to do it immediately, and he felt more comfortable with going after I did because he knew I wasn't going to rush it. By rush it, I mean he knew it would be a matter of months before I caught the bus.

I had talked to him previously about what I needed to get out cleanly, so when he gave me the okay and I sent him the address, I was fully expecting just fentalogs.

II.

When I checked my PO box, I was immediately shocked at the size of the packages. There were 3 packages total.

The first two were envelope sized and I knew were fentanyl analogs, but the third was about the size of an iPad but much thicker.

I anxiously took the packages from the box and went back to the shelter. My roommate had moved out (because of a lot of reasons, mainly that he thought I was on drugs. More on that later), and this shelter was a bit odd to be honest.

You had privacy in your room, but there are cameras everywhere else. I had the packages in a backpack when I walked into the shelter and checked in with the staff. I told them I was exhausted and was going straight to sleep, which they believed because I rarely ever left the room due to being crippled as all hell.

I immediately turned the lights off and put music music on as I unzipped the backpack, put the two small envelopes away hidden in a keyboard which required screws to get into. The keyboard actually functioned with the two envelopes inside it, so I thought that was the best place to keep it until I was sure.

I need to be clear. The reason I put myself in this situation was because the thought of being too crippled to end my life was terrifying. Being trapped in a hospital bed without the ability to die was my worst fear. I repeatedly wound up in the ER from seizures and "episodes", and it just kept getting worse and worse. There was no hope of me getting better. There still is no hope.

I was scared to open the larger package. I started to rip through the top before I heard a door open and frantically shoved it in the duffel bag under the bed.

Eventually, I made sure nobody was in the hallway, and I opened it.

I pulled the massive bag of white crystals out and knew in a second what it was.

Ketamine.

A quarter ounce. Of ketamine.

I frantically gutted the perfectly functional keyboard and took the envelopes out to hide the giant stash of ketamine which was now in my possession.

I slid the envelopes into a stack of bills from my credit card company and put them in the breast pocket of my winter jacket.

III.

I carried these with me every single day for nearly 2 months. I went through shelters, motels, social services, and everywhere else with this close to my chest the entire time.

I repeatedly was found unresponsive on the street and wound up waking up in the ER once in this time. I was terrified every other time it happened, but I was less scared that time knowing I had my out.

I was so unbelievably comfortable with everything now that I knew I could get out anytime I needed.

I remember randomly blacking out in the bathroom of a social services building and being found by 2 cops. I was so worried they would search me and find the fentalogs. They didn't.

Being white sure as shit made things a lot easier.

Eventually, I was kicked out of the shelter and put in motels, and that's where I started to get comfortable with the idea of dying there. I was kicked out because my old roommate told the staff I was selling drugs, which I wasn't, and they said they can either kick me out or search my stuff to prove I was clean. I left that afternoon.

IV.

I broke into the ketamine at 2am after a week of repeatedly waking up on that smoke stained carpet and losing hours due to seizures, but I just couldn't bring myself to take it.

I was sitting in the bathtub of this shitty motel room, my government issued free phone next to the bath with a fat line of ketamine which I had broken down to a powder sitting on the screen, and I actually nosed down before angrily tossing the powder about the bathroom.

V.

3 days later, I opened the first envelope.

I was sitting in my bed, drawer open with all the shit out as I wasn't planning on having to clean up this mess.

This was the larger of the two fent packs. I pulled the baggie out and held it up to the light.

I don't know for sure how much, but I was assured by my buddy across the country that it would be enough to take me down without any opioid tolerance with no chance of being revived by narcan.

VI.

Suddenly, I heard a loud bang at the door. Social services has people they pay to check on people at hours when they suspect you'll be doing bad things. If you don't let them in immediately they let themselves in.

I quickly tried to stuff the shit into the drawer, the ketamine bag was open as I did and roughly half the crystals spilled into the drawer all over my music gear.

They shoved a business card into the lock and opened the door just as I was slamming the drawer closed.

I didn't need to ham up my symptoms, I was spastic, shaking and heaving already, so they left pretty quickly after seeing me in that state.

VII.

After they left, I started to clean up the mess, and scooped a pile, and I mean a fucking mound, of crystals down onto the shitty government issued phone again, setting it on my bedside table clearly lit under the lamp. I still can picture how that looked and think about it nearly every day.

I decided I would swallow some of the ket and hang myself, as I had attempted to hang myself via partial suspension many times before but always pulled out every time.

I prepped my necktie noose (just add water), threw the towels, bedsheets, blankets, and singular pillow onto the floor below the towel rack in the bathroom, and laid down on the bare mattress.

I carefully moved my shaky hands as I carried the phone covered in ket from the bedside table to where it was sitting on my chest, spilling a bunch in the process.

I did put my tongue down and took a bit in my mouth, but spilled almost all of it with my spastic fingers.

As luck would have it, I had another seizure before I could lick the plate clean.

VIII.

I blacked out and came to hours later covered in crystals with my bed the same way. The phone had flown across the room and shattered on the cheap cigarette smoke saturated carpet floor

I still angrily prepared to hang myself after coming to.

I soaked the necktie in water and this time I actually did swallow a good pile of ket, using a credit card to scoop what was all over the inside of the drawer onto a business card and pouring it into my mouth.

Side note: the business card was the guy who would bust into your motel room who you had to call and check in with like every week. I thought that was ironic.

I positioned myself in the noose, put my weight into it so I started to have trouble breathing clearly, and found myself blacking out.

It must have been the ketamine, because unfortunately I woke up with a massive welt on my head from being hit by the falling towel rack after it broke and left a giant hole in the bathroom wall.

It wasn't the first hole in the wall I had noticed in my room.

My throat hurt badly, but I was alive.

X.

I had some kind of clarity, and at this point I decided to flush everything. I strongly considered taking it all before I did. I dumped the first bag of fent into the toilet and flushed, ripping open the second envelope and doing the same. I took both bags, flipped them inside out wne and threw them into the sink before turning the water on, my body still heavy from the ket having not worn off yet.

I dumped the what was left of ket bag down and it felt like a ton of crystals as it all went into the toilet. I let it dissolve a bit before flushing, doing the same as before with the bag as I washed it out in the sink flipped inside out.

I actually did take a bunch of the crystals that night which I scooped from inside the drawer and shook out of my music gear. I refused to sniff any of it as I had never snorted anything in my life, but I was licking the inside of the drawer by the end of the night.

There are still crystals inside the keyboard to this day which I can feel when I shake it, or press certain keys and certain buttons.

I didn't notice one of my synthesizers had some inside the housing until I went and played a gig and it poured out as I opened the battery compartment.

XI.

I don't know how to end this. The irony of that last sentence is not lost on me

I'm alive. I didn't use my exit plan. Dave from Saskatoon died 3 months later at his own hand via a massive overdose of fentanyl.

He was found but they couldn't revive him with the single narcan dose they had on scene which they administered to him.

XII.

Life is a joke. Death is the punchline.

Mirror World Network Q&A

  1. What is the Mirror world Network ?
Mirror world Network is the only new incentive layer public chain that has been mature to apply IPFS technology to actual storage. It uses block chain and distributed storage technology to build a truly visible IPFS storage system and an easy-to-use and available distributed file storage network.
  1. What is a public chain?
Public chain refers to the blockchain that is open in the whole network and has no user authorization mechanism. The original intention of Nakamoto’s invention of bitcoin is to create an open and transparent environment for the whole network, while the public chain is the blockchain project most in line with Nakamoto’s concept. In the public chain, any node can join or leave the network at any time without any permission, with high freedom.
  1. What is the difference between MW Network and other public chains?
MW Network has built-in distributed web system IPFS, Alibaba cloud OSS protocol, peer-to-peer P2P network, DHT distributed hash table, data encryption segmentation, multi chain incentive mechanism, block exchange and other technologies, and built a global distributed storage ecosystem with high security, high privacy, high availability and Multi Chain deployment. Its friendly and inclusive features make the current public chain and storage Network and personal nodes can be deployed and run on it.
  1. What is the design principle of MW Network?
The protocol consists of the following parts: role, network, data, contribution quantification, reward and punishment, multi chain;
MW Network uses data fragmentation, multi backup and data erasure to ensure data security and availability;
The data owner has the ownership and full access to the data, and the data is encrypted and has privacy;
There are corresponding quantitative standards and observable contributions to the contributions of all parties of the system;
The data object is allowed to be in different states at different nodes, but its state can quickly converge to obtain the whole network consistency;
It can detect the availability of the whole network and the state of the whole network of data objects, and repair it autonomously according to the policy to a certain extent;
On the premise that the data owner knows and agrees, certain degree of supervision and audit can be conducted in certain specific fields or scenarios;
And has a high scalability and ease of use API.
  1. What is the consensus mechanism of MW Network?
The multi-chain consensus block generation method consists of Tx-Bundle and MW Network Block. This method allows each Mirror World mining pool to execute different consensus algorithms internally. A transaction package contains the transaction records in the Mirror World mining pool to which it belongs. The full-node generates MW Network block containing different transaction packages and publishes it to the network. Each Tx-Bundle needs to contain the identity information of the Mirror World mining pool and nodes: Node-ID, Pool-ID, Area -ID.
A full node can only connect to one MW Network mining pool. Nodes connected to MW Network chain (MW Network mining pool 0) can be packaged to generate MW Network blocks. In the future, we will explore how to make MW Network mining pools individually packaged into blocks. A feasible implementation idea is to deploy at least one proxy node connected to the MW Network chain in each MW Network mining pool.
  1. How is data stored on MW Network?
The client initiates a request to store data, and the request is recorded to the Store-Book.
The client pays the storage fee, and system returns the matching Store.
The client uploads the file to the storage node.
After receiving the data, the storage node updates the global state of the Store-Book and the data object.
Broadcast replica-task to the network according to the security policy.
The remaining storage nodes perform data backup and check whether the number of copies defined by the security policy is met. If not, they continue to broadcast data backup tasks to the network.
  1. How to retrieve the stored data?
The client initiates a data retrieval request, and system obtains the latest data object from the Bean-Book and returns it to the client and synchronizes the data retrieval request to the storage node.
In active mode, the client establishes a connection with the storage node and obtains data from the storage node. In passive mode, storage nodes push data to clients.
After the storage node retrieves data from the client, it updates the Store-Book.
After receiving the data, the storage node updates the global state of the Store-Book and the Bean-Book.
After the client retrieves the data, the client will update the Proof-Book to prove that the storage node does hold the data object.
  1. What is the development plan of MW Network?
2019
MW Network in-depth research, start-up project, based on three-year R & D achievements and technical development, write more than 900000 lines of code to achieve business functions
2020
January 13: MW Network white paper release
February 15: MW Network official conference
April 10: MW Network test network officially launched
May: MW Network high performance interactive implementation
June: MW Network global node deployment, China establishes distributed storage data center
July to August: MW Network main network goes online
September to October: MW landing in mainstream exchange
October to December: MW Network core code open source
Future: global distributed storage infrastructure
  1. What is the vision of MW Network?
At present, the vast majority of data are stored in the data centers of major Internet companies in a centralized way, which brings a series of problems: expensive, unable to store permanently, prone to data leakage, privacy snooping, data abuse, etc. goal of Mirror World Network is to build a huge network, provide high quality and low price file storage services for the public, and build an easy-to-use and available distributed landing application.
  1. What are the values of MW Network?
Different from most of the decentralized application ideas, we believe that the world needs order. For example, the rapid development of China in the past 30 years has brought new order to the world, and at the same time promoted the competition and progress in various technologies. With the arrival of the Internet of things and the 5g Era, the digital formation of human life, the demand for global storage facilities will explode, and MW Network will be in the future Build a storage facility node group for 100 million people to provide global, high security, high privacy, high availability, permanent and low-cost storage services.
  1. What is the future of MW Network?
After MW Network goes online, it is conservatively estimated that 10000 storage devices can be included in one year. Based on an average of 100t, the total capacity space will reach 1000pb. According to the low price estimate of traditional cloud storage industry, the first year’s value of Mirror World Network can reach US $100 million. With the operation of the project to access more storage devices, the project valuation will be more breakthrough.
  1. What is MW Token?
MW is the built-in encrypted digital token in Mirror World Network, which is mainly used to build the storage ecosystem of the system and reward the roles that make more contributions to the system.
  1. What is the mechanism of MW Token?
MW, as the anchor of the original token under the Multi Chain (MW Network mine pool) structure, is also used as a means of economic punishment to avoid malicious nodes and infinite cycle logic bombs that may appear in the smart contract. MW has the function of transaction destruction. When the user pays MW as the storage fee, we will burn MW according to a certain proportion of the circulation quantity, and some MW will be burnt It moves to the address of the black hole and functions as a deflation.
  1. How is MW Token distributed?
MW token will be distributed to four important components of Mirror World Network , which play an important role in network maintenance, technology development and ecological construction of MW Network.
70% of MW is used for (Contribution Award) — providing and maintaining the MW Network of contributor data storage service award;
12% of MW is used for (Technology Research) — technology research and development, technology innovation, project deployment, distribution, etc;
10% of MW is used for (Genesis Investors) — ecological development, business development, cooperative support, etc;
8% of MW is used for (Foundation) — project long-term governance, community construction, etc.
  1. How to unlock MW Token?
The contribution reward is released steadily every year, and the release is completed in 10 years;
Technology research began to unlock and release after (September 21, 2020), with an average of 36 months;
When the test network was officially launched (April 18, 2020), Genesis Investors began to unlock and release, which was completed in 24 months on average.
  1. What are the benefits of MW Token?
With the advent of 5g and AI era, data will grow explosively. The annual data generated in the world will increase from 33zb in 2018 to 175zb in 2025, which is equivalent to 491eb per day.In the future, the growth of data will exceed our imagination. With the continuous development of MW Network network, the market demand for storage services will continue to increase, but the total amount of MW issuance is limited, which will inevitably lead to rising pressure.
17.MW Token can be generated by mining machine, or can participate in MW Token creation exchange, becoming the early owner of Later, MW Token will go online to the mainstream exchange, and can be purchased in the exchange.
  1. At present, I am not familiar with the project. How to participate?
Please keep an eye on us to get the latest news of MW Network :

A slightly overboard response to my threat model.

For what I hope are obvious reasons, I don't want, and probably will never post my threat model publicly online. However, regardless of that, what I'm sure you will extrapolate from this post is that I live my life, digitally in particular, with a fairly high level threat model. This is not because I'm some super sophisticated criminal mastermind, but rather, I am at this level because I genuinely love playing around with this stuff. And I just happen to understand the importance of privacy and just how vital it is to a truly healthy society. I would like to extend a thanks to ProgressiveArchitect for the sharing of the knowledge they have done on this subreddit, /privacytoolsio, and the like. We may have never interacted, but nevertheless, your input into this community is truly interesting and extremely informative and educating. I'm sure those of you familiar with PA's setup will be able to draw some parallels with mine and their's.
Thank you.
I hope you all enjoy reading this write up.
I run Qubes OS on a Lenovo ThinkPad X230 laptop. Specs for it are as following: - i7-3520M - 16GB RAM - 1TB Samsung 860 Evo SSD - Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 wireless card
Additionally, I used a Raspberry Pi Model 3B+ and a Pomono SPI clip to replace the stock BIOS firmware with coreboot+me_cleaner. This wasn't done out of any "real" concern for the Intel ME (though of course proprietary black-boxes like it should be avoided at all costs and not trusted), but rather for open source enthusiasm and for increased security and faster boot times than what the stock BIOS firmware allows for. On that note about the ME, I don't believe the conspiracy theories that claim that it is a state-sponsored attack method for surveillance. I believe that Intel had good intentions for improving the lives of IT professionals who need to manage hundreds, if not thousands of remote machines. However, it has proven time and time again to be insecure, and I don't need the remote management and the "features" that it provides on my machines.
In Qubes, I use a combination of AppVMs and StandaloneVMs for a variety of different purposes. All VMs use PVH over HVM, except for the Mirage Unikernel Firewall, which uses PV, and the sys-net and sys-usb StandaloneVMs which have to use HVM because of PCI device passthrough. Right now most of my VMs are AppVMs, but for maintenance and compartmentalization reasons, I am considering moving more towards StandaloneVMs, despite the increase in disk space and bandwidth usage for updates.
General route of from Qubes to the Internet for anonymous browsing, general private browsing, accessing Uni services, and Uni-related anonymous browsing respectively: 1. Qubes->sys-mirage-firewall->sys-vpn-wg->sys-corridor->sys-whonix->whonix-ws-15-dvm to the internet. 2. Qubes->sys-mirage-firewall->sys-vpn-wg to the Internet. 3. Qubes->sys-mirage-firewall->uni-vpn-wg to the Internet. 4. Qubes->sys-mirage-firewall->uni-vpn-wg->uni-corridor->uni-whonix->uni-anon-research to the Internet.

(Note: the VPN name is substituted in the "vpn" above. I had to remove it to comply with this subreddit's rules. It is easy to identify what VPN it is as it randomly generates a long numaric string and has fantastic support for WireGuard.)

Web Browsers: - Tor Browser (primary) in a disposable Whonix VM. - Firefox (secondary) with the about:config changes listed on privacytools.io and the following extensions: Cookies AutoDelete, Decentraleyes, HTTPS Everywhere, uBlock Origin (advance user, all third party content blocked and JavaScript disabled), and Vim Vixen. Used in my personal AppVM. - Ungoogled Chromium (Uni only) with standard uBlock Origin and cVim. Used only for Uni-related access in my uni-campus and uni-home AppVMs.
Search Engine: SearX, Startpage, and DuckDuckGo.
Password Manager: KeePassXC.
Office: LibreOffice.
Notes: Standard Notes.
Messaging: Signal Desktop.
Media Playback: mpv.
Emails: I access my personal email within my personal Qubes domain and my Uni email using my Uni Qubes domains. My emails are downloaded to a local repository using isync, send using msmtp, and read using neomutt with html emails converted to plain text using w3m. Emails are sent in plain text too. All of the attachments in the emails (PDFs mostly) are automatically opened in DisposableVMs.
My personal Posteo email account has incoming encryption setup. This means that I emailed my public GPG key to an address correlated to my actual Posteo email address so that all email that I receive is encrypted with my public key and can only be decrypted using my private key. So even if my emails were intercepted and/or my account broken into, the contents of them are safe since they are encrypted as soon as they hit Posteo's servers.
I have setup a number of Posteo aliases that are completely segregated from the email I used to register my account. One of those is considered my "professional" email for my current job. I have another couple aliases, one dedicated for 33mail and another dedicated for Abine Blur. I make use of 33mail alias addresses for catch-all email addresses for registering for accounts that need to be under a username associated with my name anyways. This is for purposes like putting different compartmentalized, but still related emails to put onto my Resume. I use a different alias for each Resume I put out online. That way, when that information gets sold, traded, etc., I can easily trace it back to who sold the information. For example, if I applied for a job online that required me to go through the process of registering an account through a third-party, say 'xyz Inc', the address I would register that account with would be [email protected], or something along those lines. Abine Blur is used much in the same manner but for accounts that don't need to be associated with my real name in any way, say online shopping on Amazon that I do under an many aliases, then ship to various address that I don't live at, but that I can visit with no problems. I use a different Blur address with each service like with 33mail for the same reasoning shown above.
The passwords for the accounts are encrypted and stored locally in each of the domains, however, my private key is stored in my vault domain, so even if an adversary were to compromise the domains, they wouldn't be able to steal my private key without exploiting the hypervisor. They would only be able to wait for me to authorize the usage of my private key in that domain, and even then, it could only be used to decrypt files. That is a concern that they can use my private key to decrypt messages, but they wouldn't be able to steal the key. With my personal email, the emails would also be encrypted locally anyway so they wouldn't be able to read them. My Uni email, in contrast, uses Outlook unfortunately, so there isn't any option to enable incoming encryption, and even if it was, I'm not sure how private it would be anyways.
For those looking for an in depth list of all my VMs, with explanations for the more obscure ones, I have listed them below. I have got a lot of templates, hence why I am considering moving over to StandaloneVMs, but as of right now:

Templates:

StandaloneVMs:

AppVMs:

Phone: Motorola Moto G5s running Lineage OS 16.0 Pie no G-Apps or micro-G with the following Apps: - AdAway: Open Source hosts file-based ad blocker. (Requires root.) - AFWall+: Linux iptables front end. (Requires root.) - Amaze: File manager. - andOPT: 2FA app. I like it since it can export the entries to an AES encrypted file. - AntennaPod: Podcast manager. - AnySoftKeyboard - Simple Calendar - Simple Contacts Pro - DAVx5: CalDav syncronization with my calendar on my Posteo email account. - F-Droid - Fennec F-Droid: Web Browser. Has the same Firefox addons like on Qubes minus Vim Vixen. I used the app Privacy Settings to configure the about:config. - KeePassDX: Password manager. - KISS launcher - Magisk Manager - NewPipe: YouTube app replacement. - S.Notes: Standard Notes. - OsmAnd~: Maps and navigation. - Red Moon: Blue light filter. - SELinuxModeChanger: Exactly as it sounds. (Requires root.) - Shelter: Work profile manager. - Signal: Messaging. - Vinyl Music Player: Music player. - WireGuard: VPN protocol frontend. Is configured to use my VPN account. Is setup as an always-on and connected VPN.
As mentioned, I use Shelter to manage my work profile. In it I isolate the following apps: - Clover: *chan browser. - Orbot: For routing apps through Tor. Is setup as an always-on and connected VPN. - RedReader: Reddit client. - Tor Browser
Over the last several years, I have started using my phone less and less and taking advantage of less of what it has got to offer. I don't check email on my device. I have no real need to browse the Internet on it outside of watching videos using NewPipe, browsing Reddit, and various *chan boards.
On the Smart Phone side of things, I am considering purchasing an older used iPhone SE or 6S for use with MySudo when outside of my home as well as an iPod Touch for use on WiFi only for use inside my home. The iPhone would be kept inside of a faraday bag when I am at home and not using it. It would also be kept in the faraday bag whenever at home to avoid associating that device with my home address. The iPod Touch would be used for MySudo calls instead.
Future outlook and plan for my privacy and security:
To avoid as much deanonymisation of my privacy as possible, I'm only going to specify enough so that anyone reading this can get the jist of my situation in life. I am quite young (age 16 to 25) and I started along this privacy journey when I was even younger. I was never a very heavy social media user, however I did have an online presence if you looked hard enough. My name fortunately is a very common and short name, so that does help to bury information that I was not able to remove further in the vast trenches that is the Internet.
On the digital side of things, I mentioned that I have a dedicated Crypto AppVM for handling crypto currency transactions using Bisq. I have setup a dedicated bank account that I have periodically been transferring money into so that I can trade crypto. Unfortunately, I do not live in the US, so being able to effectively start trades with others is more difficult. I also do not have access to a credit card masking account like privacy.com (that I absolutely would use given the ability). I plan on getting an anonymous VPS to host my own Tor exit node for better speeds and to mitigate the possibility of malicious exit nodes. The country I live in has been a proponent of absolute dragnet surveillance on all activities occurring online and in real life, though the former is far more visible on this subreddit. I will be using crypto with cleaned Bitcoin (as seen with ProgressiveArchitect's setup) for purchasing my VPN service, etc.
With future hardware, to replace my aging laptop, I am very hopeful for Xen, then eventually Qubes OS getting ported to Power9. When that happens I'll be getting a Raptor Computing Blackbird as a desktop. Maybe in the future I'll get a Purism Librem laptop, but for now my corebooted X230 works perfectly for my use cases. On that note, I have successfully build the Heads firmware for the X230 and I was able to get the minimal 4MB image flashed on my laptop. I did revert it back to my coreboot setup after playing around a little with it, and unfortunately I haven't had time since to do a full, complete flash of it.
On the physical/real life side of things, I plan on making use of various Trusts in order to hold assets, say to keep my name from being immediately visible on the title of my car. As of right now I am fortunate enough to have the title of my car under the name of someone who I trust. Unless I am legally required, and where there are immediate and absolute consequences, I use fake names in real life. With Uni, I am enrolled under my real name and address. This is a requirement and it is verified, so there is nothing that I can realistically do about it. As for other services, I plan on setting up a personal mailbox (PMB), etc if possible to use as a real, physical address that is associated with my real name and that is used for things like Government issued ID. In the future when I move again, I plan on renting a place in cash to try and keep my name dissociated with my real address. For those looking for reasoning on why one would want to do that, please read How to be Invisible by J.J. Luna. It's truly the Bible of physical privacy.
At this stage I am just going off on a ramble, so I should cut it short here.
I have just started and I live for this shit.

There is no such thing as real magic

I'm an amateur magician. I've performed at children's parties and done some touring. I wouldn't class myself as an expert, but I am in the magic circle. I love to see professional magicians perform, there is nothing better than when you see a trick and you have no idea how it was done.
I read a forum post a month ago that had a link to a YouTube video, 10 times magic went wrong. I checked it out, and as you can imagine, the contents were quite horrific. Two of the clips were of the Nail Under the Cups trick. If you are from England, you may have seen Derren Brown performing this. It's a good one, if the magician is qualified. If they aren't, then you end up being at positions seven and three of this video.
A magician mixes up some cups, under one is a piece of wood with a nail pointed up. The others are weighted, so they all feel the same. The magician puts on a blindfold and gets their volunteer to guide them over the top of the cups. The magician then pushes the volunteer's hand down, crushing the cup. It's usually when there are two left that this trick goes wrong. And when it does it's very bloody.
The clip in question though, is of a man sawing a woman in half. We've all seen this. But in this grainy footage, the woman screams, the box is brought apart, blood drips from the opening and the legs of the woman slip out. The bloody bottom half slams on the floor with a thunk, the legs spasm, then stop. The curtains are hastily brought across and the show ends.
There are comments after the video, people calling bullshit, until someone posted the full trick in question. At the end of this video, the woman can be seen on stage, whole again, nothing wrong with her at all.
People argue with each other that the woman must have been in the upper box and the lower box contained some prosthetics. The thread ends with someone saying that they swear it's real, they've seen it in person.
I commented saying, "I'm skeptical, magic is illusion, no one gets sawn in half; incredible footage though."
The next day, I get a direct message from someone with the handle Tricked4Life.
Hey Baz1987, the man from that video is performing next month. He's called The Russian, it's invite only. I can arrange tickets if you like?
I replied, Totally, I'd be up for that, please!
While waiting to hear back, I went to watch the video again. The link didn't work, a message came up saying it had been taken down due to copyright infringement. I tried the top 10 one too, that was also gone, just a 404 page.
It was a Saturday, so I was already on the whiskey and watching Netflix. I think I was binge watching Breaking Bad for the third or forth time.
Tricked4Life replied with a link. I browsed to the site. It looked like something from 1997. There was a still from the video and a form below. Slightly drunk, I filled out the details and continued to the payment form. I had to pay in BitCoin, what the fuck was that?
I messaged Tricked4Life, "I don't know what BitCoin is."
"PayPal me the money and I can buy it for you."
"How do I know this isn't a scam?"
"You don't, but as a magician, you should see through a trick a mile off ;)"
It sounded like he was baiting me.
"How much?"
"£540."
"Christ, that's heavy."
"It's worth it though."
"Have you seen him before?"
"No, this will be my first time. I know some people who are going. They said he's incredible. You have to see it for yourself."
I left the computer and continued watching TV, though I couldn't concentrate. I really wanted to know how the trick was done. I drank more whiskey and got more drunk.
I woke in the early hours. Confused, I took in my surroundings and realised I fell asleep in front of the television again. My head pounded, so I went to the kitchen and drank some orange juice, before throwing the best hangover cure, bacon, into the frying pan.
As the meat sizzled, I checked my phone. I had an email with the subject, Ticket Confirmation. My heart sank. I opened it up to see a confirmation number and an address... in the Ukraine.
I'd bought things while I was drunk before, but not a ticket to a magic show in Eastern Europe. Not only was I out £540, I'd need to book plane tickets and a hotel.
I gazed at the whiskey bottle, to see it almost empty, not even as much as a shot left. I felt embarrassed.
I logged into the forum and read the messages I had sent.
Fuck it! was the first. The second my details and a third saying I'd PayPalled the money over, with a reply saying to buy a Tuxedo if I didn't have one.
I won't bore you with the details of how I had to beg my manager to give me the time off at last minute, suffice to say I had to agree to perform at his daughter's birthday. I was surprised and relieved with how cheap plane fare was to the Ukraine. That was the only ray of light I had in this stupid ordeal. I rented a Tux from a local business and I was ready to go.
The flight was bumpy. We flew through a thunderstorm and for the first time in my life, saw the lighting hit the tip of the plane. People startled and children cried. I was nervous myself. It wasn't long after the Russians shot down a passenger jet over the Ukraine. I was very happy when we landed.
I sat in silence in the taxi to the hotel. When I got out, I saw it was a dump. I asked the driver to wait, he nodded. I had no idea if he understood me or not. Three stars was supposed to be the rating, but it looked more like an abandoned office building than a hotel.
I checked in and changed. I was glad I was only staying for the night. My rushed plans meant I didn't have more than a few hours until the show started.
Thankfully the taxi was still outside when I returned. I handed him the printout of the address and we drove off into the night.
It was an odd city, nothing like the London that I'd known all my life. It was as if it wasn't planned, that it just sprawled in every direction when the need for more buildings were required. We stopped at the end of an alleyway. He pointed down it.
"Are you sure?" I said.
I expected us to be somewhere posh.
"Is right," the man said, finally breaking his silence.
I got out. Almost as if the driver was in a hurry, the taxi sped off. Suddenly I felt all alone, in a foreign country I knew nothing about.
The rain poured down and soaked through my Tux. The woollen material grew heavy with the water. I wondered if I'd get my deposit back.
I jogged down the alleyway. Light leaked out from a door underneath a fire escape. I thumped on the frame and waited.
A man wearing paint splattered jeans and a body warmer opened it.
"I'm sorry, I don't know where I'm going. I'm looking for this."
I handed him the printout.
"I'm supposed to see some Russian magician..."
He lifted his chin and opened the door wider. I was glad to get out of the rain. Inside had the appearance of a factory service corridor.
"Through there," he said pointing to the end of the hallway.
Visions of me entering some basement out of the film Hostel filled my mind and I wanted to turn back and go straight to the airport. The outside door clunked shut.
I took a deep breath and walked forward. My shoes echoed around the small passageway and I felt vulnerable. I pushed on the metal bar at the end and hoped for the best.
I was shocked. The low murmurs of hundreds of voices filled the large room I entered. It wasn't as I expected. It was cavernous. It looked like a palace. Large marble columns rose up from the floor and held in place an ornate ceiling, from which hung intricate chandeliers.
Dozens of men in suits drank from Champagne glasses, all deep into conversation. No one turned to stare at me. It was as if there was nothing odd about me entering via a back door. For a magic show, I found it kind of fitting. Standing there though, I wasn't sure if I felt more out of place here or in the alleyway.
A waiter approached and I panicked.
"Drink, sir?" he said, offering me some Champagne.
I took the crystal flute and resisted the urge to down it in one.
I sipped and tried to blend in.
"The show will start in thirty minutes," was announced over the tannoy in an Eastern European accent.
The guests looked up as if watching the person making the announcement.
Another waiter offered me some canapés. I grabbed one and thanked him.
"Baz?" someone shouted and I peered around.
I locked eyes with a man I didn't recognise.
"Do I know you?" I asked.
"I'm Dan," he said offering his hand.
"I'm sorry, I don't recall."
"Tricked4Life? I ordered your ticket."
Confused, I said, "How did you recognise me?"
"Your avatar, man," he said smiling, "Good to meet you in person. I wasn't sure if you'd come."
"£540, I wasn't going to stay at home."
"Are you excited? I've seen some famous magicians around."
I was nervous. Dan didn't appear to be.
"Oh shit, is that ," I asked.
He turned.
"Hell, yeah," he replied, " and are also here too."
"That's crazy, this is the real deal then?"
"I think so," he said, taking a large gulp of his drink.
"What's his real name?"
"I don't know, no one does."
"That's a bit ominous."
"He's the best of the best, who cares what he's called."
Dan checked his watch.
"We should go take our seats."
"Yeah."
The house lights went down and cheers erupted from the crowd. A spotlight lit the red velvet curtains. They waited for the crowd to die down before they opened.
I was disappointed when I saw him on stage. His hair was grey, not black like the video. He was so much smaller in stature than how he appeared, too. Assistants wheeled in a large tall box.
The magician led one of the assistants inside and proceeded to lock the padlocks on the front of the box. He counted down from three, and on the beat after one, fireworks exploded at the front of the stage and the walls of the box collapsed in on themselves. He approached and spun the box around showing it was now flat. The remaining assistants rolled it off stage and the crowd clapped.
"That's easy," I said turning to Dan, "Fireworks - textbook misdirection and trap door underneath."
He smiled.
Medieval wooden stocks were now brought onto the stage. The magician asked for a volunteer from the audience. A young lady stood up (the only female in the whole crowd) and was invited on stage. The magician mimed claps, and the audience obliged. The woman was secured into place. He threw some eggs into the crowd and offered her as a target. Most missed, except the last that hit her square on the face. Laughter erupted. An assistant arrived with a melon. The magician picked up a sword, its blade flashed in the bright spotlight. He lifted it overhead and brought it down, slicing the melon in two with ease.
He approached the woman in the stocks and with one swift blow, her hands and head fell into the baskets below. The crowd roared with approval.
"Impressed yet?" Dan said to me and to be honest I was vexed.
No sudden flash of light to hide the switch of body parts with fakes, but no blood either.
"She was obviously a stooge, are there any other women in the crowd?"
More helpers joined on stage, mopping the floor as if to clean up blood that wasn't there. A chuckle fluttered through the crowd.
The final illusion was the classic Chinese Water Torture Cell made famous by Harry Houdini.
A large tank of water sat centre stage. The magician took off his clothes to reveal a turn-of-the-nineteenth-century bathing-suit, a beige number that covered his body and upper legs. He placed on a nose clip and rubbed his hands in anticipation.
He ascended the ladder attached to the tank and jumped in. Water splashed over the sides and an iron lid was slammed into place. Padlocks were locked around the top and a curtain drawn in front. A man started a stopwatch and gazed at it in earnest.
Time passed. I checked my watch, he had been in there for ninety seconds. The curtain was removed, to reveal his hand poking out the top trying to pick the locks on the outside, then the curtain was replaced.
Another minute passed and banging could be heard from within. The man with the stopwatch brought his hand across his throat, signalling to end the performance.
Someone ran on stage with an axe and the curtain was pulled away. The locks were still in place, but the tank was empty. The audience gasped.
"Hallo," rang out around the auditorium.
I turned to see The Russian in the stalls above, dripping with water.
Wild cheers erupted and everyone clapped.
"How did he do that then, Mr Smart Guy?" Dan asked, clearly pleased with himself.
"I have no idea," I said, clapping without even thinking about it.
The house lights went up.
"There will be a ten minute intermission before the second part of the show, will guests with tickets..." the announcer said, listing off numbers, "... please make their way to the door at the side of the stage."
"That's me?" I said to Dan confused.
"Me too, are you excited?"
"I don't understand?"
He grinned and grabbed my hand.
He led me along the row.
"What's going on?"
"Didn't you wonder why it was so expensive? We're part of the show!"
A silent dread filled me.
"I don't want to do it."
"Come on! You're a magician, don't you want to know how it's done?"
"Yeah, but I don't want to be on stage."
"You've done that before, though."
"Of course, but mostly in front of children. At most fifty people. Not in a theatre with over four hundred containing some of the most respected magicians in the world."
"Too bad, you're going," he said, tightening his grip.
We waited at the back of the line of eight people. A man checked tickets and one by one they were led backstage.
Dan passed his ticket over, letting go of his grasp. I thought about leaving, but before I could, the man asked for mine and like a robot I handed it over.
It was quiet backstage.
"Oh shit, is that ?" I said as the man approached.
"Hey," he said excitedly, "I'm..."
"I know who you are," I said shocked that was talking to me.
"Are you boys excited?"
"Very," Dan said, "Baz here's a little nervous."
"Don't be nervous," said, "this is what we are'll here for, right?"
"I have no idea what's going on," I blurted out.
"Don't listen to him," Dan said, "he's just scared."
"And you should be, it's not very often that you're in the presence of a real magician."
"What do you mean?"
"You know, someone who performs real magic."
I scoffed, "There's no such thing as real magic."
"Is this guy for real?" said pointing his thumb at me.
Dan shrugged his shoulders.
balked at me, "Then why are you here?"
"I wanted to see it for myself."
"And that you will, son. Be part of it."
"I don't think I want to."
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity," he said gesturing with his hands, "it's what we all dream of."
We heard a roar of applause.
"It's time," said, getting in line behind the queue that had now formed.
"I don't know about this Dan," I said.
"It'll be fine, I promise."
I watched as the first of us was taken on stage. A round of applause, then silence. A minute or so passed, then I heard a blood curdling scream and my heart raced.
"What the hell was that?!?!"
"Shhhh," Dan said in deep concentration.
Then the next one was taken and then the next. With each one, a silent time passed, the end of the trick punctuated by a scream.
"Dan!" I said in a whisper, "That man has blood on him!"
I stared at the stagehand as he exited stage right. Blood flecked his shirt and face.
"It's all part of the fun," Dan said, slapping my back.
My stomach lurched, as one by one, the line got shorter.
"Wish me luck," said as he was led on stage.
The man was now drenched in blood, but it didn't seem to bother Dan.
"We have a special guest tonight, please welcome ," bellowed out on the tannoy.
We were almost at the top of the stairs now. Dan watched the performance, his face lit up with pure joy before he grimaced and looked away.
"What's happening?" I asked.
"Holy shit, that was intense. I'm not sure I can do this," Dan said.
But it was too late, the stagehand had already grabbed him and dragged him up. I ascended the last few steps and could now see the wooden floor. I gasped as Dan walked through the blood than now pooled. His shoes left yawning, sticky stalagmites in the congealing liquid.
A horizontal box was opened and he was placed inside. From my angle it was obvious there was no-one placed in the leg side. I watched his feet poke through the holes at the end and the box closed on top of him. The magician picked up a chain saw, pulled the cord into action. Blue-grey smoke billowed out of the side as he revved the engine. Without a second thought, he brought it down, through the box. Dan's face contorted as he shrieked in agony.
"Stop, stop!" he shouted.
The magician ignored him. Blood sprayed out, covering him and launching a mist of bright, red liquid onto the crowd, who cheered in response.
The chainsaw idled. The assistants pulled the box apart and just like the video, Dan's legs fell out of the other end of the box. It was then I noticed the box had been purposefully sloped to allow this to happen. That was the trick. I felt sick and ran.
There was nowhere to go. A large man stood at the door I had entered. Luckily he hadn't noticed I'd panicked. I slowed to a walk and took the stairs down into the basement. As I descended, I heard the muffled tannoy then a rapturous applause.
I paused at the door at the bottom. I assumed it was the fire exit. I tried to turn the knob but it didn't budge. I could hear voices on the other side. I placed my ear against the metal, flinching at the cold. It was a chant. Low tenor voices repeated the same line again and again, in a language I didn't understand. They switched into a more sing-song chorus, then returned to the original verse.
I banged on the door and the voices stopped.
"Mister, you can't be down here," the large man from backstage said.
I obeyed him without a struggle. He let me back into the theatre. The crowd didn't acknowledge me. Waiters patiently walked through the punters offering more Champagne and canapés.
Without thinking, I screamed out, "He's killing them! All of them, they are dead!"
The audience silenced and looked at me.
" is dead, everyone's dead. I saw it. It's not a trick!"
"Sir," one of the waiters said holding his hand up for me to stop.
"I won't be quiet, it's a fucking abattoir up there! Didn't you all see?!"
People started to panic. I raced for the exit. The doors were camouflaged from this side. I ran my hand down the seam trying to find a hidden latch.
"Calm down, sir."
I turned to see the large security guard.
"Fuck that, that man is insane! Let me out of here."
He grabbed my arm, stopping me from leaving.
The house lights went down again and the audience settled.
"Please show your appreciation to your magician tonight and his wonderful volunteers."
The man held me tightly, and I gave up trying to leave and gazed at the stage.
The Russian appeared front and centre, bowing. His assistants from the night joined him. Everyone clapped.
Then one by one, the people who were in the line ahead of me walked on stage, wearing pristine white suits.
waved as he walked on, the audience cheered. The last to enter was Dan. I was shocked.
The crowd stood and clapped.
"Let's not forget our friend at the back there," The Russian said, as the spotlight travelled over the audience, stopping on me.
I froze. The security guard let go of me and joined in the clapping. I ran my hand through my hair and feigned a smile.
"I hope to see you all again soon," The Russian said for one last time and the house lights came up.
Instantly murmurs broke out around the theatre.
"Great job, really added to the finish," one man said as he exited past me.
"Thank you," I said without thinking.
Everyone wanted to shake my hand, but all I could do was stand in confusion and unexpected awe.
The last of the people left, and so did I. As I entered the large hall I was in earlier, I saw Dan. He held a cardboard box under his arm.
"Great job you did," he said grinning from ear to ear.
"What the fuck just happened?"
"I'm sorry," he replied.
was standing next to him.
"I admit it, I didn't think it would work, but your friend Dan here said it would and I trusted him."
"Is anyone going to fill me in on what happened?"
Dan put his hand on my shoulder, "They needed someone to cause a fuss, you know, to make it seem all the more real."
"Dude, I saw you get chopped in half! What did you expect me to do."
"It was really great," said.
"I thought you were dead."
He tried to smile, but I could see the guilt in his face.
"Really sorry, man. It was a shitty thing to do. If we told you though, it wouldn't have looked believable. The Russian doesn't like to use shills."
"What about the woman in the stocks?"
"That was only the warm up. Hey check this out!"
Dan opened the box and revealed his Tux, it was ripped to shreds.
"Glad I didn't rent," he said laughing.
"It was great to meet you," said, "here's my card. If you ever want to see me perform, let me know, I'll get you backstage passes."
"You're not going to try to kill me too?"
He laughed.
"I'll see you around," he said, leaving through the backdoor.
We followed a few minutes later.
A row of limos waited to pick up people as they left.
"You go first," Dan said.
"Aren't you coming?"
"Nah, I'll get the next one."
I told the driver where I was going.
I slept badly in the hotel, my dreams filled with corrupted visions of the night before. I flew back to England in the morning.
I stayed away from that forum for a while, but curiosity got the better of me. There was a post about , saying he'd cancelled his tour. I read the comments, they were filled with the expected bile of people pissed their favourite magician had flaked out on them.
There was a direct message. I clicked. It was from Tricked4Life. It contained a single photo. It appeared to be of someone's torso, a purple-pink bruise ran horizontally along its stomach, blood seemed to leak as if it were some sort of wound. Underneath the photo was a comment.
"I need help, I think the magic is wearing off."
I replied and told him to go to the hospital. That was 48 hours ago and I've not heard back.

Is there a way to look up flagged addresses?

So forgive me but I am going down a major privacy rabbit hole, researching the points of privacy vs fungibility vs ease of use vs ease of detection within bitcoin, litecoin, dash, monero etc etc. I am also researching Chainalysis and what those clowns do. But hey if theres a demand someone will meet the supply. But anyways I have been reading how there is a list of flagged address that Chainalysis has, and was wondering...Is this list public? Is there a search function for detecting what wallets are considered low, med, high risk etc.
I fear a world where you have to check someones wallet address to make sure it is "Low Risk" before they send you funds in fear that you might get grey or black listed from exchanges or governmental agencies etc etc for being in association.
So does anyone know of any website like there, where you enter in a btc, ltc, eth address and it searches to see if its a security risk or associated with any "Bad Actors" Wallets.
Also do you ever think that one day once BTC gets large enough that the developers and miner will just implement a soft fork of something like mimble wimble and turn that public ledger into a private one, and create actual full and mandatory privacy across the bitcoin ecosystem?

Most Morbid Dark Web Mystery Box Unboxing

I have a very disturbing story to tell you. In the past I had made a hobby of posting deep web mystery box openings on my web channel. I now refuse to ever do them again. Mind you, I know that some of these box openings are faked. I can assure you mine was definitely not.

If you don‘t already know what a mystery box is. I’ll clue you in... It is simply a box that you purchase with bitcoin that someone stuffs with God knows what. You get the pleasure of being creeped out by opening it. You never know what will be inside. That’s the beauty of it. If you want to call it that. A few places online have them, but if you play on the dark web, there are no rules.

I have received broken dolls, old pictures of family members with fake blood smeared around them, (hopefully fake blood) stuffed animals, ripped woman’s lingerie, medical supplies, tarot cards, a rat skull. Anything scary, silly or macabre goes.

The scary thing is you don’t know who is sending you the box or what’s inside so you better have a damn good pair of gloves. A really thick pair. One time I made the mistake by reaching my hand into my first mystery box and getting a sticky glue like substance all over my arm. What a mess! It had leaked out of a bottle. I still don’t know what the hell it was, but it didn’t have a smell. I washed my hands pretty good after that. Hopefully nothing harmful.

I will not to reveal the exact website on the dark web I was purchasing my boxes from, but they have taken it down since this incident. I can only reveal that many people were bidding on this one particular box. It had to be good, so I thought.

So I took the chance. Hoping to get something interesting. I was almost out bidded by one user but I fought to the finish. This baby was officially mine. "Yes" I exclaimed as I verified my address feeling satisfied. I only used my post office box for safety reasons. Rule #1 Never ever use your home address. It’s not safe. There are crazy people out there.

It took at least 3 weeks for the box to arrive and I was super stoked to pick it up. It was a medium-sized normal looking cardboard box sealed tightly with packing tape. Not very heavy and it felt pretty light. I had hoped I didn’t get screwed, but I was curious to why this box had cost so much and why everyone wanted it. Soon I would find out..

When I arrived home that Friday evening I set up my web cam and something made me hesitate. I had a weird feeling about this particular box. Maybe my intuition was trying to tell me something. Instead I ignored it, grabbed my big metal scissors and set my area up.

I always put a garbage bag or sheet down on my kitchen table before unboxing because no telling where the hell the box came from or what might leak out. I slipped on my thick rubber gloves, observing them for any leaks or holes. I was good to go. Flipping on the webcam I began my video.

“It’s time for another unboxing folks! This is the big one you’ve been waiting for and I hope you get a thrill out of this as much as I do. I have been waiting for this box for 3 weeks it is finally here! It’s not very heavy as you can see. I wonder what’s inside?” I make sure to shake the box for the camera to show the lightness.

I began to cut the tape with my big blue scissors and anticipated what could be inside. I carefully open the cardboard flaps and see shredded newspaper. Little bitty bits of newspaper that someone personally looked to have hand tore into shreds. Riffling through I dig deeper to the bottom and feel something squishy.

I pull it out. It is a squared looking black garbage bag sealed with gray duct tape. Something is wrapped inside, but an odd smell is coming from the garbage bag.

A slight rotten odor permeates the air and I gag. I hope this isn’t something gross. Obviously it is. I nearly forget I am on camera. I began to sweat and something makes me very uncomfortable. But I keep going with my video. I pull up on the tape and open the garbage bag carefully, trying to not damage the goods inside.

I reveal a big white sealed zip-lock bag with a blue and white looking plaid material inside that looks to be a shirt. I smell the smell again and this time it's even worse. My natural reflex kicks in and the bag hits the floor. I gag. “Yuck!”

A sweet odorous smell fills my nostrils. You know the kind when a rat dies in the wall and decomposition takes place. The smell lingers for weeks. Sort of like that smell. But this was 10 times worse. I pick up the bag again and force myself to continue.

Written on the zip-lock bag in black marker are the words “SMELL OF DEATH” in all capital letters. What the hell? I stop the camera and realize maybe I shouldn’t put this on video. If there is something really gross in here or criminal, I don‘t need to be putting it on camera for the world to see. In the back of my mind I’ve always known the possibility of playing games with strangers. Some can turn out to be psycho. It’s a risk you take playing the mystery box game.

I quickly hurl the zip-lock bag out the front door. The pattern of throwing the bag around is becoming all to familiar. I spray a can of Lysol spray all over the room. Especially on the table figuring it’s just a stupid prank. I sit down for a moment trying to gain my composure and not be a wuss. I think back to the packages I’ve received over the past months. The glorious mystery boxes. None of them ever smelled like this.

Deciding to brave it up I decide I will march outside and open the bag. "There must be something else in that bag other than the plaid shirt" I think to myself. I mean I paid a good bit for this box.

I go outside and walk up to the bag holding my breath. I pull open the seal and shake the shirt out of the bag. It plops to the ground looking to be badly stained with fluids. Body fluids? Maybe I’m letting my imagination get the best of me.I see what looks to be a cassette tape wrapped in clear plastic sticking out of the front pocket. I quickly grab this with my gloves and step back. Waaay Back!

The shirt reeks. I gag and almost vomit. I try to keep a long distance between the shirt and I. I open the plastic wrapped film around the cassette tape. I don’t really enjoy touching it not even with my gloves. Written in the same permanent marker are the words “My Friend”

So whoever sent this mystery box must have taken an old-fashioned approach. I go into the garage and find my old boom box with a cassette player praying it still works. I usually plug it up and listen to the radio while working on projects. I put the tape in. I press play.

It makes a slight clicking noise. Hopefully, this works. Suddenly, I hear a crackly mans voice speaking with a slight southern drawl.

“I hope you are happy with your mystery box. This was a rare find and I’m so happy I get to share this with you. You see, a homeless man had died in the woods nearby my house. He was in a very desolate place where no one would look for him. I didn’t report it. Instead, I became a bit curious.” I probably shouldn‘t have, but oh well.

“I looked at his body each day. He must have had to been dead for over 5 days because I saw the bloody foam coming out of his mouth and nose. He smelled horrible. I think he even might have peed himself. I think that happens when you die. You lose your bodily functions.”

" You want to know what he was wearing? He was wearing a plaid shirt the one I sent you. He had on some old army looking pants and had long scraggly grey hair and a beard. I felt sorry for him and every day I went out to talk to him. He wasn’t dead to me even though he never talked back. He was stiff to the touch. He even looked to be smiling once like he might have heard me. I knew then he and I would be good friends. "

“I told him my life story of growing up not having a father and my step-dad who used to beat me with the belt. All over my body leaving big giant red whelps. I told him about my little brother Mikey who had died a month after he was born. He drowned in the bathtub. Momma blamed me for it and sent me to the home for bad boys. I was just trying to give him a bath. I filled the tub up and put him in. I was 10 years old.”

I wanted to hit stop on the cassette tape. Was all of this for real? Am I listening to the ramblings of a demented madman. I hit play and continued to listen.“I went back in to the woods many days later. And I saw that his body was turning green. I took a few pictures with a Polaroid of my new friend but did not dare to send them to you. I even took one of us together. I tried to pry open his eyes for the picture but they were too mushy and it didn't work.

I didn’t want my observations to be found out. I even brought him a blanket one night because it got real cold. He looked to be getting in worse shape each day and I knew I had to tell someone and so I took my friend’s shirt. I needed something to remember him by. My special friend.“

"I left and told him goodbye and thanks for listening to me and being a good friend. A few days later his body was found by local hunters and it was all over the news.”" I loved the way his shirt smelled. I couldn’t stop smelling it. So I thought I should share it with somebody. You like the smell I hope? "

”Okay well I have to go now. Don’t feel bad for taking my friend’s shirt. I will probably get another one soon. Bye”

I stopped the tape in disgust. It was the most morbid thing I had ever heard.

I messaged one of my good friends to come over and check everything out. He was a bit surprised after listening to the tape and gave one of his buddies a call who is a deputy in our little town. The deputy found it very disturbing and didn‘t think it was a joke. The man on the tape sounded sick.

Unfortunately, no action could be taken because it would be impossible to find the exact location the package came from. If I discovered actual human remains in the box then law enforcement could step in. There was no evidence of a crime committed.

The strange thing was the website was taken down not long after this happened. I stopped buying mystery boxes from the deep web after that. It was a very disturbing experience.

Diary of a Douchebag: FC does a gun show, Part 2.

Friday, 1PM: I leave work early. I have to set up for the gun show early because the only time my mechanic has for the alignment rack for the next week and a half is friday afternoon and I am in need of an alignment to keep my Michelin Defender's in a nice predictable wear pattern.
My loadout this weekend includes a whole bunch of the usual stuff, Colts, Sigs, HK's, Glock's a few Springfields and four Daniel Defense rifles and an FN SLP Mk 1. I haul over a few used guns that I just took on trade too, a Tavor 556 LH and a Mossberg 500 that I got for $100 off someone wanting to trade it towards a new Glock 23. Four trips with the hand truck gets everything in before the rain starts.
I have reserved two tables but I have enough merchandise to cover three. The exhibitor tells me tables went up so two tables cost me $160 for the weekend and I consider it a small expense to view the express train to hell that is the gun culture.
45 minutes flies by as I set up my table just the way I want it and I get to Lenny's to get my alignment done. He's been doing an alignment for me no charge for the past 3 years after I told him NOT to buy an old Browning shotgun he fell in love with on gunbroker. He wanted to use it for upland hunting, sporting clays, skeet and anything moving through the air killing. It was an old gun that had FIXED barrel chokes - Full and Full. I told him RUN LIKE HELL. He said my advice saved him from a $1500 mistake and the least he can do is keep my car on the road no charge. He gets my car set up on his $80,000 hunter alignment rack and finds my toe in is way out of spec. He spends a few minutes banging around with a wrench and everything is all good. As he's doing that, since I know he won't take my money - I walk to the 7-11 across the street and grab him a tall boy of Rolling Rock. His week is so shitty that he shotguns it faster than Brett Kavanaugh circa 1982. Time to head home. I'm halfway there when the phone rings ring ring
FC: Go for FC
1: Hey FC, it's Captain Bob. How's it going?
FC: Good! I got your stuff fixed and ready to go on my desk.
1: I can be there in 15 minutes!
FC: I'll turn around, see you in 15.
Captain Bob is a four stripe left seat pilot for Delta on the triple. We love talking airplanes and guns. He's had me tune up an old 220 he wants to use at a class he's taking at FLETC later this year. Like a good pilot, he believes in a comprehensive pre flight inspection. And since his type rating says B777 and not P220, he wanted someone to make sure he's not taking a dud to class. All I did to it was give it a visual, clean and lube and although it probably didn't need it - it had a 20 year old recoil spring so I installed a new one just as a precaution.
I get back to my desk and get his gun ready, cleared and slide locked back as he walks in the door. He just got home from running a 777LR to Johannesburg and back and is very pleased to see his old 220 ready to roll. I take my glasses off and point out he's got a little bit of slide peening in a few spots but just keep it lubricated and it's normal wear and tear since he does not shoot it much.
He asks me if I have any 300 blackout ammo, I pull a case of 220gr OTM off the shelf. I tell him $450 on the ammo and the pistol inspection and recoil spring is on the house and he's having none of it. Hands me five crisp hundos and tells me to keep it. Just as I'm tucking the cash into my desk drawer, my door opens up and since I'm not wearing my glasses - I see a blurry silhouette of.....is that wonder woman? HUGE TITS on a small frame. I can't tell what's going on.
FC: Hi!
Lady: Hey FC, it's Lisa. I was just getting my wedding dress altered next door and wanted to say hi!
FC: Oh hey! I'm not wearing my glasses so I have no idea what's happening!
Lisa: See you tomorrow!
FC: I'l be there! So anyways Bob, that was strange. I am normally not used to having my door flung open by halfway attractive women.....
Bob: Neither am I! You should see some of the FA's on the J'burg route!
We have a laugh. Some more airplane talk about the old 72's and I tell him about the time I greased it in the box on the A320. Turns out he flew A320's as well as boeings and we revel in the differences in both the airplanes. I really like the Airbus design and their workflow even though Boeing guys love to hate it. He's happy with his 220 and we pull chocks.
I head home, throw a ribeye on the grill and go to bed early. I've got a busy day in the morning.
Saturday morning I wake up at 7AM and look at my to do list. Shit shower and shave. The gun show closes at 5. Lisa's wedding is at 6. The venue is at the lake 39 minutes from the VFW hall. I have a plan. I will leave STRAIGHT to the venue from the gun show and I'll put on dress clothes below the belt. After all, how often do you look at another man's pants? I throw on an HK black NO COMPROMISE Polo shirt untucked with a black alligator belt and Canali navy slacks with my new Allen Edmonds boulevards in black. Socks by Brumell and boxers by Fruit of the Loom. I walk into the VFW hall with a non iron Lauren white spread collar shirt, Ted Baker tie and Canali jacket slung over my shoulder. Nobody notices the pitter patter sound of leather soles on the concrete as the show starts coming to life.
It's 8:55. Lets get this show on the road.
The loudspeaker crackles and lets everyone in the hall know the doors are about to open up and asks us to check all our guns for ammo and zip ties. I get my table ready and pull out my 4473's on clipboards and check my pens. FFL in frame is standing up on the table, everything is tagged and tied. There will be no discharge of firearms at my table as a result.
9AM: Show opens. It's dead. Deader than dead. Like, life support dead. Typically there is a line from the entryway of the hall and around the building to get into the show every time.
This is not the show of years ago. This summer has been atrocious. I talked to the promoter and lots of vendors did not reserve tables for this and the next show. The numbers are way down.
Some people start to trickle in but it's not a good sign.
9:30AM: A fellow walks up and asks me if I have a Sig 226 TACOPS with TB in stock. I don't but vendors do. He drove 2 hours to this show to try and find one since his local place did not have it. They're on contract with sig and refuses to order one from distribution to make him happy and Sig has no idea when they're going to make more out of New Hampshire. Well, thanks to Ron Cohen making 26 SKU's for every single pistol - that's what you get.
9:41AM: Fellow wearing an INFOWARS shirt molests way too much merchandise on my table than I'm comfortable with. I shoot a knowing eye roll to Noah over at the next table. He's a 27 year old jewish gold bullion dealer from Long Island that votes libertarian and laughs at all my jokes. He adjusts his RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT banner hanging off the edge of his table as I wait for Finger McBangerson here to go away so I can wipe down all my stuff.
10:23AM: Guy walks up to me and he says he's looking for a shotgun for competition. I point him towards the SLP at the end of the table.
10:24AM: Older fellow walks up to me and says he's looking for a gun for his wife as he lifts up a Colt Commander. I tell him that will definitely kill his wife. Guy looking at the SLP cracks up laughing. Older guy looks at me mortified. Then he gets the joke. Asks me about suitability of a steel framed colt commander for her. I say probably not a good first choice. Perhaps you should send her to an NRA basic pistol class.
10:39AM: Guy asks me what's the best I'll do on a Glock 17L. I tell him the tag is already priced more than fair. He asks if he can buy it with cash if he can get a discount. I'm like let me see. I ask him if he's got a state CWL. He says yes. I take off $20. He says it's a deal, hands me a stack of money, current CWL and a California drivers license.
FC: Do you have residency in this state?
1: No, I'm here visiting for work
FC: And you want me to sell you a gun with a California drivers license and no residency?
1: DUDE! KEEP IT DOWN! Do you have any idea what would happen if people found out I didn't live here?
FC: YES I DO! They wouldn't be a party to you breaking the law!
I hand him all his shit back and tell him to get on the next flight to Fresno.
12:01 PM: Lunchtime. I pick up my sammich from Jersey mikes and nobody fails to interrupt me to throw money at me. This is not a very good sign.
12:16 PM: I am scarfing down the last of my sandwich as Infowars shirt guy comes back around. We chat a bit about 1911's and he eventually tries to convince me that I need to buy the water filter that Alex Jones is selling to keep us from turning homosexual. I tell him now I'm not gay, but look at these shoes. I pull my left hock up and put a nice shiny new Allen Edmonds boulevard on the table. He seems to recoil in horror. As he walks away, I tell him he didn't even notice that I had them straight laced! They're fabulous!
Nobody understands my humor.
12:33 PM: The vendor to the left of me is selling clothing offensive to the left. MAGA hats, anti snowflake shirts, ISIS hunting permit graphic tees, etc. I debate calling one of my guys and having "MAKE 45ACP GREAT AGAIN" hats made up. I call up r_shackleford and he thinks this is genius. We trade witty banter back and forth for a few minutes.
12:49 PM: The vendor in front of me is a gigantic pawn shop with 16 tables. There's a woman trying to sell them a rifle, and not succeeding at all. Sam looks over at me and points and says to her "you know, he buys guns too!"
FUCK YOU SAM.
FUCK YOU LONG.
FUCK YOU HARD.
The hambeast approaches and thrusts a rifle in my face. "WE BUILT IT CUSTOM" she says. "I NEED MONEY FOR CHEMO" she says. The barrel says 223 Wylde. The lower says Aero Precision. The price tag says $1500 OBO. I tell her she'd be lucky if she got HALF that in this economy. She complains that they really need the money and her two demon spawn that are traveling with her seem to be tired of her getting the same speech from every vendor in the hall.
NO YOUR GODDAMN HOMEBUILT 223 WYLDE AR15 IS NOT WORTH $1500
It's not even worth $750
It's worth MAYBE the same price as a new PSA rifle - $350, $450 tops if you threw in the little girl.
Editors note (start voice over here): Hi, I'm Matt Damon. Human trafficking is no laughing matter. For just a small donation of $50 or more, you can fight human trafficking. I prefer that you donate to Rapha House International, a charity dedicated to preventing sex trafficking and providing care and treatment to its victims. If you go to the post in the top of guns and donate, you can even stop shitposters like FirearmConcierge from posting stuff like this for the rest of the month if you donate enough money. This sort of support can only be made possible from viewers like you. Please, donate today. Stop the suffering. For the little girls. For reddit. For America.
The lady looks at me like a truck stop rapist and inevitably proclaims that SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S GOT. Words fail me. I shake my head as she walks away with her demon spawn and I shoot a look back at sam and mouth very carefully YOU FUCKER back at him. Sam cracks up laughing.
1:12PM: I'm asked if that's a Dead Air Sandman on my table. I say yes. Guy asks to look at it and explains to his friend that it's a DAA Sandman and talks about the mounting system.
FC: You know your stuff.
1: Yeah I just bought one.
FC: I'm the only DAA dealer around here, you don't look familiar. Who'd you get it from?
1: Silencershop. Used the kiosk at a dealer in another city 1.5 hours away
FC: Uh, I stock the sandman and would have made you a deal. Why'd you do go through them if you don't mind my asking?
1: Well it was a timesaver.
FC: How's that? I mean that place I know is an hour and a half away without traffic, so you made a trip there to do your stuff - then back. That's 3 hours. Then another 3 hours after your stamps clear - so that's 6 hours in a car total. I can call the PD, make an appointment for you to roll your prints and you're done in 15 minutes. Photos at CVS are another 15 minutes. How is 6 hours a timesaver instead of 30 minutes?
1: Well I just knew that if I had to make more than one stop I'd never do it, so it was spend 6 hours in a car and get it done in one shot or spend 15 minutes doing fingerprints or photos and being too lazy to do the other one and never sending in the paperwork. So this was the better choice for me.
FC: Uh. Okay?
1: Why don't you have a kiosk?
FC: I'm not paying $9000 for something that's going to save you time and cost me money and then have to deal with being tech support and having a device in my place of business that compresses my own margins. We're down to making $50 on a can from making $350. This isn't a position I'm interested in taking.
1: Well, sucks to be you. I'm buying all my cans from silencershop now!
FC: Enjoy your 6 hour drive.
1:30 PM: Man walks up with an old stainless combat commander colt. Series 70. No original box and sights. Looks well used.
Thinks I’m crazy when I say I won’t give him $1000 on trade.
1:39 PM: Guy comes back. Guy wants me to put a can on his 1917 eddystone that is not threaded. He asks what he can get for $150
1:45 PM: Lady picks up a Trijicon RMR and asks to turn it on. I shove a battery in it and turn it on.
1: This is a laser sight right?
FC: This is an RMR from Trijicon and RMR stands for Ruggedized Miniature Reflex sight - it uses a laser of sorts and projects it onto this lens here....
1: THIS COSTS $500? AND IT DOES NOT EVEN PUT IT ON THE TARGET?
FC: Well if you just look through the lens here you can see the red dot projected onto the glass.....
1: I CAN BUY A $30 LASER POINTER AND DUCT TAPE IT TO MY GUN AND I'D BE $470 CHEAPER AND IT WOULD PUT THE LASER ON THE BAD GUY! WHAT IS THIS GARBAGE YOU'RE TRYING TO SELL?
She walks away. My mouth is agape.
2:15PM: Old guy walks up and points at a Glock 34 I have on the table. MY FRIEND BOUGHT A GLOCK IN 89 WITH NYPD AND SHOT HIMSELF HOLSTERING IT. I DONT TRUST THE DAMN THINGS and shuffles away without me having time for a rebuttal
2:21PM: Someone walks up asking me if I want to buy a used les Baer Comanche. I tell him I buy when I can make money. I look at it. It’s clean.
He wants $1600. Street is about $1600, that's all the money. Street the gun sells for about $1799 NEW, which means I can buy it for less than $1600 new. I tell him this. He looks at me like Elizabeth Warren looks at Brett Kavanaugh and shuffles away. I shake my head as I notice a familiar face walk up. I can't place it. He looks at some guns.
2:25PM: I'm asked if I have a card from the familiar stranger. I reach down into my wallet and fish one out, I hand it to him and he smiles at me. It finally clicks.
FC: Dr Livingstone, I presume.
Doc: I haven't seen you in years, how have you been?
(The doc is FC's old therapist. He can't say hi to me walking around due to HIPAA but if I open a dialogue, it's okay)
FC: Eh, same old shit different day. I uh made some mistakes a few weeks ago and I thought of you.
Doc: Oh really? How so.
FC: Well uh. You remember that day when I told you to go back to the Office of the Bursar at UCLA and ask for a refund on your $125,000 post graduate education because it was nothing but academic detritus?
Doc: Well, I hadn't thought about it for a few years but it sounds like something you would say.
FC: It was right after you told me that I used 3 different quotes from 3 different academics in a span of less than 5 minutes to answer your question. You said that I intellectualize as a defense because I don't like getting close to people. I said you're full of shit. You asked me do I even know what intellectualize means? I said of course I know what it means, what do you think I'm some kind of idiot? Then you sat there grinning like a Cheshire cat at the thought of making me eat my own words.
Doc: Haha. Now, that sounds familiar. I remember that.
FC: Well I don't know how many patients are willing to say it but you were right and I was wrong.
Doc: I don't get much pleasure in hearing that, but did you learn anything about yourself?
FC: It took a few years to realize you may have been right all along but yeah.
Doc: Then what does it matter who's right or wrong as long as you learned something?
FC: Hmm. That's not bad. How's business?
Doc: Full appointment book and not taking new patients.
FC: I guess you could say it's........a little crazy?
Doc: I missed your humor. Tell me about this Glock 45...
I show him a few different guns and crack jokes about disgruntled patients. He says he'll think about arming himself what with crime and mentally unstable people being growth sectors in this post-trump apocalyptic nightmare. I tell him to be fore warned is to be fore armed. He seems reticent, but I can only lead the horse to water. I can't make him drink.
2:51PM: Fellow walks up.
1: I need a colt ladysmith. Do you have one?
FC: the colt or the ladysmith?
1: The colt ladysmith
FC: is it a colt or a smith?
1: smith
FC: which model?
1: the ladysmith!
FC: I know but I need to know what model. They put that on a bunch of different guns
1: it’s the one with writing on the side of the gun. It says. LADY SMITH on it. You know the one
I realize the strongest case for repealing the second amendment is spending a day talking to people at the gun show.
3PM: Two hours left to go! The end is in sight! I haven't sold a single fucking gun yet!
3:02 PM: Man walks up. Hey do you have the new Sig 925?
FC: You mean 365?
1: No the 925
FC: Sig does not make a 925
1: Yes they do, it's the new one.
FC: The 365?
1: No! The 925!
FC: Can you show me a picture?
1: It's the one on the magazine.
FC: Most of sigs guns have magazines.
1: I mean the one in print. It's on the cover.
FC: The cover of the periodical you mean?
1: Yeah! You know the new one!
FC: Well if it's on the cover, it should be easy to find on google. Can you show me a picture?
1: There's nothing coming up on google for the Sig 925
FC: Maybe perhaps its because it's the sig 365?
1: I'm telling you it's not that. It's the new one they just came out with. It's the 925.
FC: Care to make a wager?
1: No.
FC: If you bring me a photo I can try to narrow it down.
1: I'll find the magazine at home and bring it in tomorrow.
FC: Periodical.
1: Whatever.
3:11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUFSB2plwzM
3:12: Numismatist neighbor Noah asks me a question
Noah: Hey! What's a hi point?
FC: A cry for help!
(everyone laughs)
Noah: No I mean price wise?
FC: Like $100, they're garbage guns.
Me and Noah start talking. I am moving more and more libertarian every day. He's the treasurer of his local LP chapter in Suffolk county. For a jewish kid from Riverhead, we sure have a lot in common. We get into an animated debate on the virtues of Kelo v New London in that it was a shitty position for the town of New London to take Susette Kelo's house for redevelopment under eminent domain. If they wanted to redevelop it, for the government to use eminent domain is a government run amok. As a libertarian, he hates government overreaching - as someone who also hates that sort of thing, we are in very vocal agreeance.
The tshirt vendor is listening to us debate the merits of the case and how the SCOTUS created a TERRIBLE precedent regarding government using the takings clause and when we finish he asks us a question.
TShirtGuy: How the fuck do you two know so much about a supreme court case?
Noah: Well, when you went to college and you're an economics and pre law major....
FC: Let me make it simple. WE ARE NERDS!
Everyone has a laugh.
TShirtGuy: Speaking of funny, check this out! He holds up a shirt.
It says in big print on the front: the the reason gun shows exist is so women can know what it’s like for when they drag men to the mall
I chuckle.
3:13 PM: I get in an argument with the republican candidate for office of something or other on gun laws. He is stupid and he is going to lose.
3:23 PM: A nice lady walks up. She looks familiar. She looks at some guns and feels up a 226 and remarks how well she likes how it handles.
FC: You're Bernice, aren't you?
Bernice: Why yes I am! You do not look familiar. How do I know you?
FC: You're still working at the courthouse right?
Bernice: That's right!
FC: Judge Snyder, right?
Bernice: No! He moved up to the appellate circuit last month it's...
FC: Judge Reinhold! That's right, one of his JA's called me to buy a gun last month. I forgot Christine told me, you're right.
Bernice: Holy crap, you have an incredible memory. When was the last time you were in front of Judge Snyder?
FC: Four years ago. I was the one that filed the motion citing the big lebowski.
Bernice: OH MY GOD THAT WAS YOU? I remember that!
FC: Yeah and I had to go dumpster diving to get my phone back. Shit, was that really 4 years ago? Fuck.
We talk more about guns and stuff. She loves her old West German 226. I tell her that if she really wants to have some fun, she should ask Judge Snyder to tag along on his next range day. About two years ago, the judge called me up asking for some advice. He's Tet offensive era USMC and wanted a new toy to reach out and touch someone and was dead set on getting a new SR25.
I talked him out of it because SR25's are stupid expensive. I knew of another dealer that had a T&E 20" SR25 that they were looking to unload cheap and I told him that with the amount of money he'd save going to the T&E gun versus the new one - the delta would more than cover a Nightforce NXS, rings and mounting and that would save him money and be a good performer. I'm friends with his daughter on facebook and they both looked like they had a lot of fun ringing the gong at the gun club.
Bernice is impressed. Too bad she's not my type, we'd get along fantastically if I was 15 years older.
4 PM: 60 minutes left to this shit show.
4:04PM: The loudspeaker crackles. ATTENTION ATTENTION: BRETT KAVANAUGH HAS JUST BEEN CONFIRMED TO THE SUPREME COURT.
The proletariat rejoices and hooting and hollering typically reserved for the LSU game breaks out in the hall.
ALSO WILL THE RED JEEP PARKED IN THE FIRE LANE PLEASE MOVE - YOU ARE BLOCKING THE BBQ GUY FROM LEAVING. RED JEEP. MOVE OR YOU WILL BE TOWED.
4:11 PM: Guy walks up in civvies.
1: I wanna buy this but I’m not a state resident
FC: well what’s your deal? Give me some more to work with.
1: I’m from Texas but I’m in the military
FC: if you got your orders - PCS to any base in this state says you’re a state resident, but if you don't - I can't help you. I know a lot of guys don't travel around with their orders....
JUST AS I SAY THAT the guy pulls out a wad of hundreds out of his pocket and his PCS paperwork, signed, rubber stamped and billeted.
THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.
I give him the clipboard as I look at his paperwork. No blank spaces, approved change of station to Barksdale AFB, address reads base housing, everything is in order for the young airman.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. THIS IS AMAZING.
Forms done correct on the first swing.
I AM WAITING FOR THE OTHER SHOE TO DROP.
I call in the transaction and they tell me that the national system is down. NO IDEA WHEN IT'S GOING TO BE BACK UP.
I tell the USAF that the system is down and we can't do anything. He takes my card and hands me money and says just call him when it's ready to be picked up. Huh. Okay, he's cool with that. His girlfriend lives over here so he's back here every weekend. Done! I mark up the paperwork with some notes.
4:23 PM: One guy just walked up and told me that he had no idea HK made rifles. Apparently made a bunch of rifles a few years ago and stamped glocks name on them for Glock. Since Glock can't be found out to be making rifles. This captures the attention of another guy who asks me if my Glocks on the table have fluted firing pins. I tell him they do not make fluted firing pins. That makes no sense. He says yes they do make sense. They're fluted so they shoot underwater.
4:28 PM: Noah's table has someone in front of it debating buying some gold. As they delve into the discussion of gold and FIAT currency, I hear the following.
1: Bitcoin is a webpage. It’s like buying stock. Bitcoin issues shares and it dilutes so the price goes down.
Noah: I don't think that's how it works.
1: You’re basically buying a part of a big webpage
FC: This is like listening to someone try to explain that pi is exactly 3.
Noah: What's wrong with you?
FC: I am the Anthony Bourdain of the gun world. I eat, I drink and I yell at idiots.
4:45 PM It's getting close to show close, I need to get ready for the wedding. I grab my Lauren shirt that thankfully is non iron and just dressy enough to work and just casual enough to be worn without a tie if you need to and whip off my HK polo. I put on the shirt and tuck it in as I notice a lovely couple walk up out of the corner of my eye. Its Jim and Jane, Jane is a pharmacist that works at the hospital and Jim is a Gastroenterology resident at the hospital too. They buy lots of guns from me. I finish tucking in my shirt as we talk shop.
Jim wants 6 cans, 3 handgun and 3 rifle and wants to know what his options are. I rattle off all the options I would look at and I write some down on a legal pad for Jane to show him on the computer when he gets home. We talk 762 vs 556, 45 vs 9mm and direct thread vs QD for about 10 minutes as I tie off my blue Ted Baker tie into a Pratt knot. The apex of the tie just touches my belt buckle. Length is right on the money, and I didn't even have a mirror. Jane approves of my knot and color selection. Go me.
4:55 PM: Fabulousness achieved, I call back in and find out national system is still down. FUCK. Well this is gonna have to wait till tomorrow. I shove Airman Cecil O'Malley's paperwork under the table and start stowing stuff since the show is about to close.
4:59 PM: Table is covered up and FC is walking out the door as the announcement crackles over the loudspeaker. THE SHOW IS CLOSED. PLEASE LEAVE THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR.
5:01 PM: On the way to the wedding! I stop at Target along the way because I've forgotten to get a card. I find one that says "It was meant to brie" on the front. It has some greeting card herpes, aka glitter on it but I have no time to be picky. As I'm in line to checkout I write something cheeky.
"I always said love was cheesy and I camembert it sometimes.....Love, FC"
The cashier scans it, I plug my amex into the card reader as I slip in a yard in there and seal up the envelope and slide it into my jacket pocket.
The ride to the lake breaks every speed limit in two counties.
5:45PM: I arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony is about to begin and the parking staff puts me in the back lot. I hike over to the open bar and get a fresca. I'm supposed to behave myself, so FC quit drinking and is just chilling with a fresca as he scans the room.
I know NOBODY at this wedding except the bride, groom and MAYBE the bride's massage therapist. Nope. I know nobody here. Awwwkward. I behave myself and sip on a fresca as the wedding starts. She gets married. She says yes. He says yes. FC is an ordained minister and can step up and marry someone in case there's an emergency but my services will not be needed at this wedding because things are going smoother than a cold filtered miller genuine draft. It's all good. The DJ announces the new couple and they walk down the aisle together as husband and wife for the first time. The music starts playing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNEgUPKxk7A
ITS HEAVY D AND THE BOYZ! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO A WEDDING WHERE THEY PLAY THE COUPLE OFF TO HEAVY D! I mention this to the people sitting next to me and they're like it's just like hitch!
I'm like what?
They go on to explain to me that it's a movie. Starring Will Smith. Huh. Didn't see that one.
5:45 PM: The open bar and the food is coming out. I look around and I definitely do not know ANYBODY HERE. I need to eat and go home. I grab a plate of cocktail shrimp and some lobster sliders and sit down at a picnic table away from the crowd. I don't even notice a busty brunette with cleavage showing also sitting at the table staring at her phone across from me until she says hi.
1: Hi.
FC: Hi.
(I scarf down a lobster slider. Munch munch)
1: So how do you know the lovely couple?
FC: Well she was a friend of a friend and next thing you know I'm showing up to the Christmas party and the wedding. Then Seth is showing up and then they're getting married. You?
1: I work with Lisa, I'm a flight attendant. But I've been out of work for a few months. We had this thing at work. It's called a fume event. I happens when well uh how do I say?
FC: Contaminated bleed air via the pneumatic air conditioning kit - or PACK - gets into the cabin, causing all sorts of respiratory irritation and all sorts of other things for the crew. You're on the 320, right?
1: The airbus? Yeah. Me and Lise are also on the....
FC: 321 and the 319. Yeah, I'm familiar with the technology.
1: You're a pilot.
FC: Not exactly. I just know airplanes really well.
1: So you're an aerospace engineer.
FC: I wouldn't go that far. Hahaha. That's stretching it. A lot.
1: Let me get this right. You're friends with Lisa and Seth, you know airplanes, you're the only one at this wedding actually wearing a suit......
FC: To be fair, it's Louisiana in October. We're lucky most of the folks here aren't wearing Mossy Oak and Realtree.
1: Hahahahahhah! You must live in Baton Rouge!
FC: I do.
1: Me too! What part of the city? I live in (names neighborhood)
FC: I'm over in (neighborhood next to her)
1: OH MY GOD! That's 10 minutes from my house! So anyways, you're smart, you're funny, where have you been all my life? I'm Ally.
FC: I'm Will.
1: You wanna get dinner together? I literally do not know anyone else here and I was thinking about leaving before I met you.
FC: Uh sure. Lemme just top this fresca off.
1: I'll join you.
6:15 We're told by the bartenders to grab a ceremonial wedding tervis tumbler with a patch commemorating the happy couple's nuptials hermetically sealed inside. They didn't want a bunch of red solo cups going to the dumpster so they decided to ball out. I walk up to the table where there's literally 200 tumblers in varying colors to choose from and I grab a random one as Ally grabs one too. We head to the bar, she fills her with vodka and sprite. I top off with ginger ale because I'm staying sober and I have to drive 45 minutes back to casa de FC in BTR.
She asks me how I know so much about airplanes, I tell her it's been a lifelong obsession and I've done some ground school on the 320 and the 737 and I much prefer the 320. I ask her what's tough about her job and she tells me that most people don't know they only get paid when the doors close. I say yeah, block time is a real bitch sometimes. She looks at me like I'm crazy. I'm like what? She's like HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT BLOCK TIME? I told you, I know airplanes. We chat some more as the crowd gets drunker and drunker and more ridiculous on the dance floor. Someone requested Strokin' by Clarence Carter and the DJ ACTUALLY PLAYED IT. Goddamnit Lisa! HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A DO NOT PLAY LIST? Wow.
7:10 PM We find some seats for dinner as the buffet opens up, I pile a bunch of chicken marsala and beef wellington on my plate and we head back to the table. She's only a few years older than me and cannot believe that I am single. She asks if I've tried tinder. I tell her the tinder story about me being stuffed into the back of a police car and it is met with raucous laughter.
1: So, do you dance?
FC: I do a lot of things, but I don't dance. Baton Rouge is the city that rhythm forgot.
1: I don't really dance either. As a matter of fact, I'm perfectly content to people watch all night with you here by my side.
Her hand ran down to touch mine. It had a ring on it.
FC: What does your husband think about that?
Next thing I know, Lisa and Seth have dropped by the table to say hello. They're taking pictures with everyone and we can't continue the conversation we were just having. Lisa dives in to hug Ally, Seth gives me a handshake, sips my drink and asks why there isn't any bourbon in that tumbler.
FC: Gotta behave myself. Long drive back home.
Ally: OH MY GOD LISA! Will is FANTASTIC! Where have you been keeping him? He's funny, he's amazing and he looks hot in a suit! If I wasn't married, he'd be the perfect guy!
(We're cut off by Lisa, she looks at me sternly.)
Lisa: WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?
FC: What?
Lisa: Yesterday! When I was getting my wedding dress fitted! You called me a half attractive woman.....
FC: It's not a normal occurrence! Most of the women who open my door are total heifers! For real! Take the compliment!
Lisa cracks up, and Seth who has had a few drinks laughs so hard that he damn near falls over. You can hear the cackle of his laugh carry across the lake. The best man props him back up and they all have a laugh. The wedding planner slides in and tells the bride that her cake has been outside of refrigeration for an hour and 15 minutes now and is structurally deficient. They need to cut it now before it collapses in upon itself like a black hole. Lisa grabs Ally, Seth grabs me and the rest of the table follows. We're now part of the wedding cake cutting crew.
7:15 PM: The entourage all takes their Instagram positions as Lisa cuts into her structurally deficient cake and Seth resists the urge to do anything cheeky and fun with frosting. It's cute, everyone toasts the newlyweds.
7:20 PM: I pull Lisa aside privately and I ask her - what the fuck is Ally's deal? "If I wasn't married he'd be the perfect guy?" WHO THE FUCK SAYS THAT? A married woman? At a wedding? To a guy she JUST MET?
Lisa: Look, I have no idea how her marriage is going or what her deal is. But just because there's a goalie doesn't mean you can't score.
FC: WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?
Lisa: It means that maybe, if she's throwing herself at you......you should catch her. I gotta go throw the bouquet. Brb.
FC: .....
7:25 Lisa goes to throw her bouquet and Ally has found me and is back at my side.
1: Where were we? I was just saying to Lisa that I was wondering where a guy like you has been all my life? You are awesome.
FC: I am awesome, and you are married.
1: Yeah, I know. Come on, I really want you......I mean I really want you......to go photobooth with me. Come on, it'll be fun.
She grabs my arm and drags me to the photobooth and she puts ridiculous hats and stuff on me. I'm like no, I've been looking ridiculous enough from birth. i'm good. She literally begs me with puppy dog eyes and does that thing where she shows cleavage.
FC: Isn't this like against one of the ten commandments? Thou shalt not......photobooth with another man's wife?
1: Hmm. Yeah, I guess. You're really sweet though. If I was single, I'd be all over you right now.
FC: Who says that? Really?
1: So, answer me this. You're not an engineer. You're not a pilot. What do you do?
FC: Gun dealer.
1: So if I had something like an AR15 that needed some work, you'd be the guy to call?
FC: Maybe, depending on what you needed - there's a lot of things where I'll just tell you flat out what you're trying to do is uneconomical and a bad idea.
1: Well, I'd really like it if you could check out some of my equipment sometime.
FC, internal monologue: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE
FC, external monologue: Bring it by the gun show this weekend and I'll see what I can do.
I crack an uneasy smile as she gets up to go use the bathroom. I decide it's time to get the fuck out of here.
8:11 Making my escape plan proves to be a little tougher than I expected. The parking at the venue at the lake is dark and unlit and I have to navigate my way back to my car in the dark using the light from my phone. I reach into my jacket and I realize that their card is still inside. Fuck. I gotta go back. I turn around and head back to the gift table and I use some ninja recon skills I picked up in catholic school to make sure Ally is nowhere nearby. The coast is clear. I walk up to the little birdcage they have for cards, drop mine in confidently and get ready to turn on my heel and leave. I start making my way back to the parking lot when Seth is just walking out of the bathroom next to the gift table.
1: Hey man, you heading home?
FC: I am now, forgot to drop off your card.
1: Ally thought you left without saying goodbye to her, so she asked me for your number. I gave it to her.
FC: Oh dear lord.
1: What?
FC: Did you hear that woman? "If I was single, you'd be the perfect guy!" Those words are not in a vocabulary of any married woman I know.
1: Dude, you just gotta chill out and go with the flow man. It's not your marriage. If she wants a piece of you, cut her off a slice.
FC: Are you serious?
1: When I met Lisa, she was still married to Freddie. Look at us now, 7 years later and we're happy. You want to be happy, don't you?
FC: Yeah but....
1: No but's! Go storm the castle! I gotta go, but I'll catch you at the afterparty tomorrow night! You going?
FC: Yeah at your house right?
1: Yeah, what time the gun show wrap up?
FC: 4, so I'll be out by 5.
1: I got steaks going on the grill at 3, I'll get save a nice one for you. You still a medium rare guy?
FC: You know it!
1: I think Ally is gonna be there too, you two should get to know each other a little better.
FC: That's what I'm afraid of!
Seth goes back to his wedding, I hop in the car and drive home. It's almost 10PM as I approach the Jersey mikes by my house. I stop in to grab a sandwich for Sunday.
Just as I walk up I hear one of the sandiwch makers swear she's going to slit the throat of the next person who orders a sandwich. Eep. I tell her I need a giant 9. She starts making me one. I ask her if she's trying to get out of here right at 10? She says yeah, she's trying to catch the end of the Yankees/Red Sox game. I tell her my old man was from Brighton and my mom was from Elmhurst, so there's no love lost there. We have a laugh. She caught the Yankees pummeling the A's in the wild card on Wednesday. I whip out my phone and check the score for her. Yankees are up 6-2. I tell her she should be able to catch the end of it at home or whatever sports bar she's going to. She tells me she's going to the outback steakhouse the next block over to watch it and they better have the game on when she rolls up in 15. I tell her I'll do her one better. I dated the bartender there (once, she friendzoned me) and I'll message her on facebook to have it on for you. It is at this moment, I am asked for the second time that evening - from a strange woman I've just met - where have I been all her life?
I head home, throw my sandwich in the fridge and head to bed wondering WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?
Did FC like get game all of a sudden?
Donald Trump is President.
The Eagles won the super bowl.
You can't make this shit up.
I got one more day at the gun show too.
Postscript: As I write this, it's Columbus day and the Indians, the Redskins and Braves all got their asses handed to them.
We truly live in interesting times.
